We are seeking aearly career to mid level Cyber Security Specialist to support cybersecurity operations at Lackland AFB, helping maintain the security and compliance of Air Force and Department of Defense information systems.\nIn this role, you will assist with cybersecurity compliance activities, support Risk Management Framework (RMF) efforts, participate in Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities, and help ensure systems remain compliant with Air Force and DoD cybersecurity requirements.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport cybersecurity compliance efforts across assigned systems and programs.\nAssist with implementing and maintaining cybersecurity controls in accordance with DoD and Air Force requirements.\nCoordinate with system owners, engineers, and program teams to support Authority to Operate (ATO) activities.\nParticipate in Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities, including documentation development and maintenance.\nMonitor system configurations and identify changes that may impact security compliance.\nConduct periodic reviews and audits to verify adherence to established security policies and procedures.\nAssist with tracking, documenting, and reporting cybersecurity incidents and vulnerabilities.\nSupport risk assessments and help identify remediation actions for security findings.\nMaintain RMF artifacts within eMASS and other cybersecurity management tools.\nCollaborate with government stakeholders and internal teams to support mission objectives and cybersecurity requirements.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 4-6 years of relevant cybersecurity experience. Additional relevant experience and industry certifications may be considered in lieu of a degree.\nExperience supporting cybersecurity, information assurance, or RMF-related activities within a DoD environment.\nCurrent Top Secret/SCI clearance.\nDoD 8570/8140 compliant certification at the IAT Level II or higher (Security+, CySA+, SSCP, etc.).\nFamiliarity with RMF processes and cybersecurity compliance requirements.\nExperience working with eMASS, XACTA, or similar cybersecurity compliance tools.\nUnderstanding of DoD and Air Force cybersecurity policies and procedures.\nStrong communication skills and ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting Air Force or DoD programs.\nFamiliarity with cloud computing environments such as AWS or Azure.\nExperience with vulnerability management and security assessment activities.\nWorking knowledge of Jira and Confluence.\nSecurity certifications such as Security+, CySA+, SSCP, CAP, or CISM.\nExposure to Air Force ISR missions or classified environments.\nCompletion of applicable DoD or Air Force cybersecurity training requirements\nIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
