In this role, you’ll work at the forefront of national security, ensuring advanced systems meet the highest standards of security, performance, and compliance.\nThis is more than a job - it’s a chance to influence system design, reduce risk, and protect critical capabilities from evolving threats.\nWhat You’ll Do\nAs a trusted technical leader, you will:\nContribute to the development and evaluation of key systems engineering documentation, including:\nSystems Engineering Plans\n\nInitial Capabilities Documents\n\nRequirements Specifications\n\nSecurity requirements and security test documentation\n\nProvide technical leadership across system development, integration, and testing activities\n\nLead requirements elicitation, analysis, and functional allocation efforts\n\nConduct systems requirements reviews and perform both technical and non-technical assessments\n\nSupport planning and test analysis for the DoD Certification & Accreditation (C&A) process and other Government C&A processes\n\nPerform high-assurance cybersecurity evaluation activities for devices undergoing certification\n\nReview and assess security artifacts to ensure compliance with stringent security requirements\n\nClearly document security deficiencies and provide actionable recommendations\n\nTranslate vulnerability insights into practical risk mitigation guidance\n\nRecommend improvements to requirements, processes, and templates to strengthen overall security posture\n\nCollaborate across teams and participate in security-focused meetings and technical reviews\n\nWhat You Bring\n8 years of Systems Engineering experience\n\nBachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related field\n(Five additional years of Systems Engineering experience may substitute for a degree)\n\nStrong background in Information Assurance and/or Cryptographic systems\n\nExceptional written and verbal communication skills\n\nExperience working in collaborative team environments and leading small technical teams\n\nActive TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance\n\nBonus Experience\nExperience supporting Space, Weapon, Ground, or Terminal system development or evaluation\n\nDirect experience with DoD Certification & Accreditation (C&A) processes\n\nSpace Systems Engineering experience\n\nWhy Leidos?\nAt Leidos, you’ll work alongside experts solving some of the nation’s toughest security challenges.
