While most work is conducted on-site at our client location in Bethesda, MD, we offer a flexible schedule and, occasionally, some tasks may be performed remotely.\nAs a DevOps Engineer you will contribute to the design, deployment, and maintenance of a full stack containerized microservices architecture as well as technical systems administration, installation, and configuration. You will participate in fostering a DevOps culture, building strong cross functional collaboration with systems engineering, architecture, development, security, operations, and integration teams, in a dynamic and fast paced environment.\nYou will work closely witha multi-disciplinary team of developers, other software integrators and system administrators on the following key tasks:\nTo deploy, triage and maintain a production big data pipeline using a microservice architecture running on Kubernetes, Elasticsearch backend, and Kafka messaging\nEnhance and maintain CI/CD and DevOps scripts and processes including AI-integrated solutions for failure analysis, security and compliance to facilitate faster development, quicker error detection and resilient deployments\nDesign, develop, and support scalable, redundant infrastructure to include physical and virtualized environments\nConfigure Kubernetes (Helm, YAML, etc.) continuous deployments using ArgoCD.\nCollaborate with System Engineers to design solutions for new features and requirements\nProvide technical input to systems engineering documentation and diagrams/models working in coordination/collaboration with SE team members and Architect team\nParticipate in Agile release planning, scrum of scrums, bug triage, design sessions and other meetings\nDevelop PaaS solutions for hybrid deployments and secure multi-tenant GPU sharing solutions in a the Kubernetes environments.\nYou bring enthusiasm, the ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience, and meet the following qualifications:\nBS in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience with 8+ years in software development, system engineering or related field. 6+ years of experience with Master’s degree.\nMust have an active Top Secret/ SCI security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance\nKnowledgeable in navigating Linux OS, specifically: Knowledgeable about K8s environments \nPossess at least one DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II or higher certification, e.g., CCNA Security, CySA+, Security+ CE, SSCP, CISSP (or Associate)\nGitLab CI/CD pipeline development experience including: Ability to obtain Privileged User Account (PUA) certification per DoD 8570 policy\nExperienced with container/container orchestration, specifically Kubernetes and troubleshooting experience with:\n- Ingress/Gateway API\n-Multi-tenant GPU sharing\n-Helm chart design/build\n-Pod disruption budgets\n-Affinity/anti-affinity rules\n-Familiarity with external-secrets, ArgoCD, cert-manager, eck (elastic search)\nComfortable with Elastic Search, Logstash, Kibana\nDemonstrated ability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution\nYou will wow us even more if you have some of these:\nExperience with systems at scale\nExperience/knowledge of key Agile processes and techniques\nExperience with development, i.e. Bash, PowerShell, SALT, Python, Groovy, Java, etc.\nExperience on a production/ enterprise system• \nExperience with any of the following technologies: \n-Kafka or other message passing systems (AMQP, JMS)·\n-Kubernetes monitoring, e.g., Prometheus/ Grafana, Open Telemetry·\n-SALT for deployment automation·\n-Nexus\nIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
