MSS also plays a key role in advancing technology modernisation within Government, delivering scalable and adaptable solutions for complex enterprise challenges.\nThe Opportunity\nAs a DevSecOps Engineer, you will play a key role in embedding security, automation and reliability across the software delivery lifecycle. Working closely with engineering, security and platform teams, you will help shape and maintain secure, scalable solutions that support mission-critical capabilities and modern digital services.\nDesign, implement and enhance secure CI/CD pipelines, ensuring security controls are integrated throughout the development and deployment lifecycle.\nCollaborate with software engineers, cloud specialists and cyber security teams to improve platform reliability, automate operational processes and strengthen security posture.\nDevelop and maintain infrastructure-as-code, cloud-native environments and security tooling that enable scalable, repeatable and compliant delivery practices.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimise automation, monitoring, vulnerability management and DevSecOps practices across the delivery environment.\nAbout You\nYou are passionate about building secure, resilient and automated technology solutions and enjoy working in collaborative, multidisciplinary teams. You bring a practical approach to balancing security, operational efficiency and delivery outcomes in complex technology environments.\nEssential\nExperience in DevSecOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering or a similar role.\nExperience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins or similar platforms.\nCapability in cloud technologies and services, preferably within Azure, AWS or Google Cloud environments.\nExperience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation or equivalent.\nKnowledge of secure software development practices, vulnerability management, application security testing and security-by-design principles.\nExperience with containerisation and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.\nAbility to automate operational and security processes using scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell or Bash.\nWell-developed communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, security and business stakeholders.\nAdvantageous\nExperience supporting regulated, enterprise-scale or mission-critical environments.\nKnowledge of Zero Trust architecture, cloud security frameworks and compliance requirements.\nExperience implementing security tooling such as SAST, DAST, secret scanning, dependency management or container security solutions.\nRelevant industry certifications such as Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, DevOps or Cyber Security certifications.\nExperience working within Agile delivery environments and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.\nThis role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and hold an NV-1 security clearance.\nIf this role interests you, we encourage you to apply.
