Our team is seeking an entry-level Electrical Design and Integration Engineer to work at our Huntsville, AL campus providing support to a variety of design, integration, and test programs related to missile systems and unmanned aircraft. This role offers a wide variety of hands-on work spanning avionics, integration, test, mission support, and field operations in development, prototype, and production environments. This is a dynamic opportunity in which talented engineers can thrive working on a diverse array of multidisciplinary projects in the kinetic effectors arena. We are in search of a highly motivated, trained, and talented electrical engineer to foster advanced technology programs through the complete product lifecycle from research and development through full production.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nDesign, fabricate, analyze, and integrate hardware, firmware, and software solutions that will successfully address a wide variety of customer challenges.\nTest and troubleshoot hardware, firmware, and software in lab and field environments.\nDesign electrical and/or software architectures and integrated systems for real-time, mission-critical systems that include flight systems, sensors, ground vehicles, and ground control systems.\nCollaborate and communicate effectively with project managers, customers, and team members to determine and develop hardware and software requirements.\nContribute to system hardware and software architecture decisions based on customer performance requirements, schedule, and cost constraints including build vs. buy trades.\nSupport task execution including electrical system design, avionics design, payload integration, analog/digital/PCB hardware design, hardware-in-the-loop simulation, system debugging, and systems engineering.\nWork independently as part of a broader multi-disciplined engineering team.\nWork collaboratively with project teams to formulate innovative solutions to complex problems and products across a broad range of applications.\nCoordinate with purchasing department and outside board/cable shops to procure hardware.\nWork in a lab environment testing and assembling hardware.\nWork closely with manufacturing teams to facilitate the transition from prototype hardware to a deliverable product.\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.\nExperience with one or more of the following areas: electrical system design, electrical circuit design and simulation, hardware and software interface design and integration, software development, troubleshooting/debugging hardware/software in a lab and/or field environment.\nExperience with constructive collaboration within and among multi-disciplinary teams.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to travel up to 10% of the time to support testing and other events.\nAbility to obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance.\nU.S. Citizenship required.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nUnderstanding of PC board layout design.\nExperience with parts selection, electrical schematic capture, wiring harness design, and SMT manufacturing.\nExperience with sensor instrumentation such as acceleration, velocity, position, and/or pressure.\nExperience with development and testing of flight hardware\nExperience with radio communication links and GPS/INS systems.\nExperience with rapid prototyping, integration, and test.\nExperience with requirements-based design and test planning.\nExperience with technical leadership.\nIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
