You will create the conditions for teams to deliver quality outcomes by aligning people, technical priorities, governance and resources with program and customer needs.\nLead, support and develop engineering teams, including workforce planning, capability development and allocation of specialist resources.\nOversee engineering delivery, ensuring technical activities are appropriately planned, governed and aligned with schedule, quality and risk expectations.\nPartner with program leaders, customers and technical authorities to resolve priorities, dependencies and engineering challenges.\nImprove engineering frameworks, assurance practices, knowledge sharing and collaboration across disciplines and delivery teams.\nAbout You\nYou bring experience leading technical teams and understand how people leadership, engineering governance and delivery performance work together. You can provide direction while enabling specialists to exercise their expertise and professional judgement.\nEssential:\nExperience leading engineering or technical teams in a complex project, product or operational environment.\nCapability in workforce planning, resource prioritisation, coaching and professional capability development.\nKnowledge of engineering lifecycle, technical governance, assurance, risk and quality management practices.\nExperience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities across competing priorities and dependencies.\nAbility to engage customers, senior leaders, delivery teams and technical specialists.\nAbility to communicate technical and delivery matters clearly and support timely decision-making.\nAdvantageous:\nExperience leading geographically dispersed or matrixed engineering teams.\nKnowledge of systems engineering, Agile delivery or DevSecOps practices.\nExposure to regulated, safety-critical, defence or mission-focused environments.\nThis role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and hold an active NV-1 security clearance.\nDue to the nature of our work, applicants must be Australian Citizens and be eligible to obtain and maintain the security clearance required for the role.
