The successful candidate will have extensive FAA operational experience, strong knowledge of FAA orders and regulations, and exceptional written communication skills.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nResearch, draft, review, and edit complex correspondence, including Congressional responses, Administrator and Safety Hotline responses, general correspondence, VIP briefing papers, and Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) materials.\nReview and interpret applicable laws, FAA orders, regulations, policies, and standard operating procedures.\nCoordinate with FAA organizations and Lines of Business (LOBs) to gather information, analyze issues, and develop accurate and timely responses.\nResearch and analyze noise complaint events and prepare appropriate correspondence.\nIdentify the FAA facilities and offices associated with requests and coordinate information and follow-up as necessary.\nManage correspondence through required review, comment, endorsement, and approval processes while meeting strict deadlines.\nEnsure correspondence, memoranda, reports, briefings, and other written products are clear, concise, accurate, and appropriate for the intended audience.\nConduct research, evaluations, and studies and provide analysis and recommendations to FAA customers.\nUtilize Microsoft Office applications, SharePoint, and other information resources to research, prepare, and manage deliverables.\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree with 10+ years of relevant FAA experience. Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.\n10+ years of FAA Air Traffic Controller experience in an Enroute Facility or Level 10 or greater Terminal Facility.\n5+ years of FAA management or staff experience at an Enroute Facility or Level 10 or greater Terminal Facility.\nStrong working knowledge of FAA regulations, orders, policies, and procedures.\nDemonstrated ability to research and evaluate complex issues and develop high-level correspondence for FAA customers.\nExperience creating executive-level briefing materials.\nExceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.\nProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.\nDesired Qualifications:\nExperience coordinating and working across multiple FAA Lines of Business.\nExperience engaging with FAA Headquarters, field organizations, public stakeholders, and NAS users.\nAbility to manage multiple high-visibility tasks under tight deadlines.\n.\nIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
