As a Engineering Projects Intern, you will join our Digital Sector supporting the DIET engineering team on the Defense Enclave Services (DES) contract. This position is 100% remote (with a primary focus on U.S. Eastern time zones), offering a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project management.\nAre you passionate about project management? As an intern on the DIET team, you will support the team through multiple engineering projects. You will play an active role in schedule management, change management, team management and other related project management duties. You will rotate through engineering support duties to fully understand the scope of work from start to finish.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nSupport project manager in Engineering project management efforts across multiple engineering projects.\nAssist with change requests and maintenance window planning across engineering projects.\nAssist with network Point Of Contact (POC) coordination.\nProvide Jira task management support to the project manager.\nAssist the Subject Matter Expert (SME) teams with Contract Deliverables (CDRLs) preparation and uploads.\nOrganize and triage issues for the SME teams.\nAssist with the coordination and communication for engineering testing activities.\nRotate through engineering support duties to fully understand the phases of design, test, migration, and operations.\nBasic Qualifications:\nCurrently enrolled in a degree program from an accredited college/university. (Business Management, Project Management, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred).\nA strong interest in project management, systems engineering, or computer science, with familiarity using Microsoft tools such as SharePoint, Excel, Teams, or the Power Platform (academic or personal experience is acceptable).\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.\nAbility to work collaboratively in a virtual team environment and manage multiple technical tasks simultaneously.\nMust be a U.S. citizen. A Secret security clearance is required to start. Leidos will sponsor if necessary.\nLocation: This internship is 100% remote.
