Leidos is an American technology and engineering services company created in 2013 when Science Applications International Corporation split in two, with Leidos taking the technical services and solutions business. It is one of the largest suppliers to the United States government, working across defence programmes, intelligence systems, civil agencies including the Federal Aviation Administration, and healthcare services for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Headquartered in Reston, Virginia, the company also builds security detection products for airports and borders, and has concentrated recent investment on trusted artificial intelligence and autonomy for mission environments.

Leidos is seeking an Expert Aircraft Survivability Technical and Programmatic SETA to support aircraft survivability programs. This is a fully funded, immediate-fill position supporting the ARTEMIS program.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: Candidates must currently possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph to be considered for this position. There are no exceptions to this requirement. Candidates who do not currently hold the required TS/SCI with Polygraph will not be considered.

The successful candidate will provide technical, engineering, programmatic, acquisition, testing, and logistics support for aircraft survivability systems. The position requires extensive experience within the government or military aviation environment and the ability to operate independently in a dynamic mission environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist and advise the customer in the research, evaluation, development, procurement, integration, testing, and sustainment of aircraft survivability systems.

  • Support management of a portfolio of programs, including monitoring technical, schedule, and cost performance.

  • Analyze technical alternatives and support risk-management activities.

  • Review program expenditures and invoices against approved spend plans and support development of future-year budget requests.

  • Support range testing of aircraft survivability equipment.

  • Support logistics and lifecycle management of survivability equipment, including:

    • Tracking equipment installations on aircraft platforms.

    • Monitoring equipment purchases and deliveries against operator need dates.

    • Ensuring property tracking and accounting systems are updated as equipment is procured, repaired, or retired.

    • Planning and executing the movement of hardware and personnel in support of operations.

  • Develop strategies and plans that leverage emerging technologies and innovative TTPs/CONOPS to enhance aircraft survivability.

Basic Qualifications

  • Current and active TS/SCI with Polygraph required. No exceptions.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.

  • 12-15 years of specialized experience in engineering and program management within the government or military aviation industry.

  • Familiarity with government acquisition processes and budget cycles.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a dynamic, changing environment and build partnerships across the enterprise.

  • Ability to perform complex tasks with limited supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience or knowledge of aircraft survivability systems.

  • Experience participating in or directing airborne range testing.

  • PMP certification and/or programmatic experience managing contractors or subcontractors.

Additional Information: Position is contingent upon successful clearance crossover and customer meet-and-greet.
