Working closely with technical and program leadership, this position integrates financial oversight with operational and program requirements to enable accurate forecasting, lifecycle cost optimization, performance measurement, and informed decision making. This position also ensures IT resources are strategically aligned with mission priorities while maintaining compliance with federal financial management standards, cybersecurity mandates, cloud optimization strategies, and long-term system sustainment objectives.\nThe Financial Specialist will:\nProvide direct support in budget formulation, execution tracking, and financial analysis in support of IT programs, system sustainment, and technology modernization initiatives.\nDevelop and maintain spend plans aligned with IT project schedules, acquisition milestones, and contract funding allocations.\nTrack and reconcile obligations, expenditures, and accruals for hardware, software, cloud services, cybersecurity tools, and IT service contracts.\nSupport lifecycle cost analysis, total cost of ownership (TCO) assessments, and cost-benefit evaluations for IT investments.\nCoordinate with Program Managers, CORs, Contracting Officers, and technical leads to ensure funding alignment with IT deliverables and performance objectives.\nPrepare financial reports, dashboards, and briefings reflecting IT portfolio execution status, burn rates, and funding gaps.\nSupport audit readiness by providing documentation and traceability of IT expenditures, system funding sources, and contract modifications.\nProvide financial impact analysis for IT change requests, system upgrades, cybersecurity enhancements, and cloud migration efforts.\nUtilize government provided financial management systems (e.g., GFEBS, DTS) to process, record, and reconcile financial transactions, including purchase requests and travel orders.\nAssist in the preparation of Unfunded Requirements (UFRs) and reprogramming requests by gathering and validating supporting data.\nSupport the end-of-year closeout process by ensuring all financial actions are completed, documented, and reconciled in a timely manner.\nEducation and Experience:\nRequires a current Secret Security Clearance.\nRequires a BA degree with 8 - 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 - 10 years of prior relevant experience.\nRequired Skills:\nAbility to consistently make good decisions through a combination of analysis, experience, and judgment.\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects with multiple deadlines.\nExperienced in MS Office and the ability to navigate between multiple programs simultaneously\nClearance Required:\nMust possess an active Secret security clearance at time of consideration\nECNOMS\nIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
