The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional who excels in working with large datasets, developing meaningful visualizations, and translating technical findings into actionable recommendations.\n*The Investigative Data Analyst will be a hybrid role, 50% onsite in the Fort Worth, TX office and 50% remote. The candidate for this role must be within commutable distance to the office location.\n*This position will start as a part-time role with expectation of moving to full time status in January of 2027.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nAnalyze complex datasets to identify trends, gaps, anomalies, risks, and potential integrity concerns through statistical and analytical modeling techniques.\nDevelop and maintain dashboards, reports, charts, graphs, and other visual products using Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and other analytical tools to communicate findings effectively.\nConduct research using government databases, internal data systems, and open-source intelligence (OSINT) resources to support investigations, operational assessments, and strategic initiatives.\nPrepare executive summaries, investigative reports, briefing materials, status reports, and presentations for senior leadership, including executive and Congressional stakeholders.\nPerform quality assurance reviews and audits of work products, closed cases, management inquiries, and operational processes to ensure compliance with established policies and standards.\nIdentify emerging trends, systemic vulnerabilities, and operational risks by connecting information across multiple data sources and organizational functions.\nTranslate complex technical analyses into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations tailored to audiences ranging from technical staff to executive leadership.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams, program managers, analysts, investigators, and organizational leadership to support strategic initiatives and operational objectives.\nIndependently manage assigned projects, establish priorities, monitor timelines, and deliver high-quality work with minimal supervision.\nExercise sound judgment when evaluating sensitive information, recognizing anomalies, and determining when issues require escalation to management.\nSupport continuous process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance data quality, reporting capabilities, and operational efficiency.\nEnsure the confidentiality, integrity, and appropriate handling of sensitive or restricted information.\nBasic Qualifications:\nCitizenship: U.S. Citizenship required\nClearance: Secret clearance or ability to obtain one\nBachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Criminal Justice, Public Administration, or a related field and 2 years of relevant experieince. Equivalent professional experience may be considered.\nExperience analyzing large and complex datasets to identify trends, risks, gaps, and operational insights.\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, data modeling, and analytical functions.\nDemonstrated expertise using Microsoft Power BI to create dashboards, visualizations, and interactive reports.\nExperience working with databases, government information systems, or other enterprise data repositories.\nKnowledge of open-source intelligence (OSINT) research methodologies and publicly available information sources.\nStrong technical writing skills with the ability to produce executive summaries, investigative reports, briefing documents, and formal correspondence.\nExperience conducting quality assurance reviews, compliance audits, or performance evaluations.\nExceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities with strong pattern recognition skills.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.\nProven ability to collaborate effectively across multiple organizational levels and functional areas.\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines while working independently.\nDemonstrated professionalism, integrity, discretion, and sound judgment when handling sensitive information.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience supporting federal government agencies or regulatory organizations.\nFamiliarity with aviation, transportation, law enforcement, inspections, investigations, or regulatory compliance programs.\nExperience with SQL, Python, R, or other analytical programming languages.\nKnowledge of data governance, data quality management, and business intelligence best practices.\nExperience with automated reporting tools, workflow applications, or enterprise case management systems.\nExperience preparing executive-level briefings for senior government officials.\nIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
