This role will manage projects from planning through implementation, bringing together technical teams, business partners, subject matter experts, and external vendors to keep deliverables, timelines, budgets, and dependencies on track.\nThe Project Manager will provide structure and oversight across multiple workstreams, maintain alignment with established PMO governance, and help teams navigate risks, integrations, testing, deployment, and organizational dependencies. You will help ensure successful project delivery while adhering to Leidos' Mission, Vision, and Values.\nLocation: This position is based in Newark, New Jersey, and requires onsite work three days per week, Tuesday through Thursday. Qualified candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance and be able to work onsite on these days.\nSalary: This position pays a salary in the range of $130,000 to $150,000 annually.\nResponsibilities:\nLead end-to-end project delivery for an enterprise system upgrade, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives are met.\nManage technology projects from initiation through implementation and post-go-live stabilization, with accountability for scope, schedule, budget, quality, and overall delivery.\nBuild and maintain project plans, schedules, RAID logs, status reporting, executive communications, and other required project documentation.\nCoordinate activities across IT, operational technology, testing, cybersecurity, business teams, subject matter experts, vendors, and external partners.\nApply EPMO governance, methodologies, templates, controls, and reporting requirements throughout the project lifecycle.\nFacilitate requirements discussions, design reviews, testing readiness, implementation planning, and cutover activities.\nProactively identify and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and changes, including those related to system integrations, vendor deliverables, regulatory timelines, and technical constraints.\nCoordinate environment readiness, data-related activities, and dependencies with parallel projects and workstreams.\nMaintain clear communication and alignment across technical teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and leadership.\nSupport deployment readiness, including training, documentation, operational support planning, and transition to steady-state operations.\nRequired Education & Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Management, Business Administration or a related field required, with 8+ years of project management. experience.\nPMP certification required.\nDemonstrated experience managing enterprise technology implementations, system upgrades, migrations, integrations, or modernization initiatives.\nStrong understanding of project management disciplines, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, change control, quality, governance, and PMO reporting.\nFamiliarity with IT governance, SDLC, and Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.\nExperience coordinating complex technical projects involving multiple teams, systems, and workstreams.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical, operational, business, and executive stakeholder groups.\nProven stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination skills.\nExperience managing vendors, system integrators, and third-party delivery teams.\nAbility to identify and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and changes in a fast-paced, complex environment.\nProficiency with Microsoft applications and PPM/project management tools.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nIT project management experience within electric utilities, energy, critical infrastructure, or another highly regulated industry.\nExperience supporting technology transformation, regulatory-driven initiatives, or complex system integration programs.\nExperience working with highly integrated enterprise applications and technology ecosystems.\nWorking knowledge of on-premises, cloud-hosted, and SaaS applications and related architectures.\nFamiliarity with enterprise integration concepts, including APIs, interfaces, middleware, and system-to-system dependencies.\nAbility to interpret high-level solution architecture and technical design documentation to identify project dependencies, risks, and potential impacts.\nThis position requires access to information subject to U.S. Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810 export control requirements. To be eligible for the required access, candidates must meet client’s Part 810 requirements, which may include being a U.S. citizen or national, a non-conditional U.S. lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder), a qualifying Protected Individual, or an eligible citizen/national/permanent resident of a Generally Authorized destination.
