This role will provide Agile delivery leadership while developing the technical, operational, and governance documentation needed to support rapid AI prototyping, experimentation, evaluation, and transition of successful capabilities into operational use.\nThe individual will work closely with AI/ML engineers, data scientists, data engineers, enterprise architects, cybersecurity personnel, business/process analysts, product owners, program leadership, and Coast Guard mission stakeholders. The role will support a delivery approach by organizing Agile execution, removing impediments, maintaining delivery visibility, and ensuring that technical decisions, requirements, test results, operating procedures, and lessons learned are clearly documented and reusable.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nAgile / Scrum Leadership\nServe as Scrum Master for one or more AI, data, analytics, or automation teams.\nFacilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and release planning.\nPartner with Product Owners and technical leads to develop and prioritize epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint objectives.\nRemove impediments and coordinate across AI/ML, data, cloud, cybersecurity, architecture, and mission stakeholder teams.\nSupport rapid MVP and pilot delivery cycles, demonstrations, user feedback, testing, and transition planning.\nDevelop Agile dashboards and metrics that provide leadership visibility into backlog health, velocity, milestones, risks, and delivery status.\nTechnical Writing & Documentation\nDevelop, edit, and maintain clear technical documentation for AI, data, automation, and digital modernization initiatives.\nTranslate complex AI/ML and technical concepts into materials appropriate for technical teams, Coast Guard leadership, and mission users.Produce and maintain artifacts such as: Technical design and solution documentation, CONOPS and operational workflows and requirements and user stories, Governance procedures and playbooks, Lessons learned and after-action reports, executive summaries and technical briefings\n\nMaintain version control and configuration of technical documentation within approved repositories such as SharePoint, Confluence, and Jira.\nAI Team Support\nDocument AI use-case intake, evaluation, prioritization, and development processes.\nSupport development of reusable AI delivery standards, templates, checklists, and playbooks.\nCapture model assumptions, limitations, human-in-the-loop requirements, performance measures, and operational acceptance criteria.\nSupport stakeholder demonstrations and document user feedback, decisions, action items, and recommended next steps.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Communications, English, Business, or related field with 4+ years of relevant experience; additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.\nDemonstrated experience serving as a Scrum Master, Agile Project Coordinator, or Agile Delivery Lead.\nExperience facilitating Scrum ceremonies and managing Agile backlogs.\nDemonstrated technical writing experience supporting IT, software development, data, AI, cloud, cybersecurity, or digital modernization initiatives.\nExperience developing technical documentation, SOPs, user guides, requirements, process documentation, and executive briefing materials.\nAbility to translate complex technical information into concise, understandable documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.\nStrong organizational, facilitation, writing, editing, and stakeholder communication skills.\nProficiency with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.\nU.S. Citizenship required.\nAbility to obtain and maintain a DHS Public Trust.\nPreferred Qualifications\nCertified ScrumMaster (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master, PMI-ACP, or similar Agile certification.\nExperience supporting USCG, DHS, DoD, or other Federal Government programs.\nExperience supporting AI/ML, Generative AI, data analytics, automation, or cloud modernization teams.\nFamiliarity with AI concepts including LLMs, RAG, agentic AI, model evaluation, and responsible AI.\nFamiliarity with NIST AI RMF, NIST 800-53, Zero Trust, RMF, ATO/cATO, and Federal AI governance requirements.\nExperience developing documentation in Agile or rapid-prototyping environments.\nExperience with Section 508-compliant documentation.\nFamiliarity with Power BI, Power Platform, ServiceNow, GitHub, or similar enterprise development and collaboration tools.\nIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
