This work aligns with the FAA’s broader initiative to modernize legacy flight service capabilities, replacing aging infrastructure with scalable, cloud-based platforms designed to improve safety and operational efficiency, particularly in remote and high-dependency aviation environments. These efforts focus on delivering mission-critical, future-ready solutions that provide safety-critical flight services to the pilot community.\nThis position offers a balanced hybrid schedule of 3 days in office and 2 days remote.\nAs a member of a Scaled Agile software development organization, you will contribute to the technical execution of a program that integrates proven, globally deployed technologies with modern cloud-native capabilities. You will work alongside cross-functional teams and technical leaders to deliver predictable outcomes in a highly regulated, safety-critical environment.\nIn this position, you will be responsible for integrating and testing software that provides flight planning and other services to the pilot community. This position supports government programs and requires the ability to obtain and maintain a favorable Public Trust investigation.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nDesign, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test procedures to verify software functionality, performance, and compliance with requirements in an Agile environment.\nDebug system level issues and provide detailed supporting data on identified issues\nDocument and track system defects and verify fixes\nAble to understand System Level Requirements\nLearn system architecture, design, functions and capabilities to support the integration and test of the new capabilities and enhancements\nPerform system checkouts in physical and virtual test labs to ensure system is properly configured and ready for testing.\nExecute manual and automated regression test procedure after software modification, adaptation updates and lab patching\nWork in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 4-8 years of professional experience; or 2-6 years of professional experience with a related master’s degree\nExperience and familiarity with Agile methodology, principles, and tools\nDeveloped and executed automated system integration and test solutions\nAbility to obtain an SF-85P Public Trust clearance from the FAA customer.\nExperience in following a documented Integration and Test Development Process\nExperience developing and executing automated system integration and test solutions\nExperience in building and maintaining automated test suites\nStrong integration skills with hands-on experience integrating large software complex systems\nStrong written and verbal communication skills to interface with internal and external customers\nUS Citizenship\nDesired Skills:\nAir Traffic Control and Flight Service Experience\nKnowledge of AI-assisted development workflows and tools (i.e. Claude Code, Codex, etc.)\nKnowledge of air traffic control systems, general aviation, and/or flight services\nPractical knowledge of FAA/DoD systems, technical policies, standards and orders\nATMC\nIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
