This includes general storage administration tasks, storage software and hardware support, storage device configuration, support of daily backups, monitoring of storage devices, storage performance tuning and troubleshooting. The successful candidate will support mass storage archive needs in an environment consisting of standalone, virtual machine, and large scale High Performance Computing (HPC) cluster based systems.\nRequired Education and Clearance,\nBachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of experience (additional experience may be substituted for the degree)\nActive security clearance and ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance\nAbility to maintain DoD 8570 certification - Security + and OS cert, Linux+, RedHat, etc. (90 day waiver may be provided to obtain the OS certification)\nRequired Experience and Knowledge,\nGeneral knowledge of Linux and Unix operating systems concepts\nExperience with HSM software such as SAMQFS and Versity Storage Manager.\nExperience and understanding in enterprise backup and data protection technologies such as Veritas NetBackup.\nTape library and drive storage experience\nExperience working with Tape Backup or long-term Archive Software\nExcellent customer interaction skills including written and verbal communication\nTeam oriented individual capable of multi-tasking in a dynamic, demanding environment\nOrganizational skills to balance and prioritize work in a dynamic work environment, and persistence to follow-through on tasks\nAbility to provide clear documentation on system administration procedures for routine and complex tasks.\nGeneral understanding of Storage environments such as IBM Elastic Storage Server (ESS), Seagate, LSI, or Oracle storage systems, Oracle large scale tape libraries, IBM tape libraries, IBM and Oracle Enterprise class tape drives, as well as Brocade Fiber Channel switches.\nPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills\nSystems and/or storage administration experience\nExperience working with HPC cluster and storage architectures\nKnowledge of Information Assurance (IA) controls, STIG viewer, Radix, and Risk Management Framework (RMF)\nSome prior experience in SAN Fabric Administration including zoning, LUN security, and HBA configuration and troubleshooting\nNAS (object) and SAN (block) storage experience\nSecurity implementations using multi-factor authentication, PKI, or Kerberos and Unix OS hardening to DoD STIG standards.\nWillingness to occasionally work after hours and/or respond to emergency situations for problem resolution\nGeneral knowledge of Linux and general Unix operating systems concepts as well as systems administration experience\nAbility to develop and maintain documentation on system administration procedures for routine and complex tasks\nAbility to create and maintain Information Assurance (IA) compliance documentation of the Information System\nIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
