This role focuses on production readiness, manufacturing support, and quality assurance.\nundefined\nPrimary Responsibilities.\n· Support mechanical design, modernization, and producibility improvements of fuzing and initiation devices.\n· Assist in maturing Technical Data Packages (TDPs) and participate in manufacturing evaluations.\n· Support risk management and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA).\n· Assist Quality Assurance (QA) activities including Failure Analysis and Corrective Action Reports (FACARs), Requests for Variance (RFVs), and Corrective Action Requests (CARs).\n· Provide mechanical engineering support during key program reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).\n· Support laboratory, environmental, and production testing, troubleshooting, and failure analysis.\n· Prepare trip reports and conduct manufacturing site visits (approximately 25% travel expected).\n· Contribute to First Article Testing (FAT) and Lot Acceptance Testing (LAT) reports.\n· Provide mechanical engineering inputs for Army Fuze Safety Review Board (AFSRB) certification.\n· Develop technical reports and documentation to support production milestones.\nBasic Qualifications.\n·\nUnderstanding of mechanical design, materials, and manufacturing processes.\nWillingness to learn FMEA, QA processes, and production documentation (FACARs, RFVs, CARs, FAT, and LAT).\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail.\nAbility and willingness to travel up to 25%.\nU.S. Citizenship required.\nPreferred Qualifications.\n· Experience in mechanical design for high-reliability or harsh environment systems.\nKnowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), tolerance analysis, or Design for Manufacturability (DFM).\nExperience with CAD software (Creo preferred) and Product Data Management tools (ePDM and Windchill).\nPrior internship or exposure to manufacturing, quality, or failure analysis.\nFamiliarity with DoW acquisition or munitions programs.\nundefined\nIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
