Work independently with minimal oversight to ensure thorough testing and accurate recommendations supporting 72-hour SLA.\nWhat You'll Get to Do:\nExecute comprehensive patch testing in lab environments (standalone, HA, stacks).\nPerform quarterly STIG compliance scans and assessments. \nBuild and maintain lab environments (virtual and hardware). \nDocument test results and provide deployment recommendations. \nTroubleshoot patch failures and coordinate with vendors. \nSupervise and mentor junior engineer on testing activities. \nMaintain subject matter expertise on 10-15 solution types.\nTest 80-100 patches/year in assigned domain (30-35% of team workload). \nComplete 50-60 STIG assessments/year. \nMaintain lab availability and readiness for assigned solution types. \nAccurate patch recommendations - minimize false positives/negatives. \nKnowledge transfer through documentation and mentorship.\nYou'll Bring These Qualifications:\nRequires B.S. Degree and 2-4 years network engineering experience (routing, switching, load balancing, firewalls); years of experience can be in lieu of degree.\nMust be a U.S. Citizen and possess an active Secret clearance.\nHands-on experience with F5, Cisco, Palo Alto, or similar platforms. \nSTIG compliance and vulnerability management experience. \nStrong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills. \nCCNA, Security+, or equivalent certifications required. \nNGEN\nIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
