You will work with the Program Engineering Lead, engineering teams and customer stakeholders to understand requirements, solve complex technical problems and support reliable platform delivery.\nIn this role, you will:\nTranslate customer requirements into detailed designs and supporting services for complex Platform as a Service solutions.\nInstall, configure, upgrade and maintain Microsoft Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux platform services delivered through VMware environments.\nTune system performance and use automation and infrastructure-as-code practices to streamline builds, configuration deployment, health checks and repeatable operational processes.\nProduce and maintain technical, system and operational documentation, provide specialist advice and resolve complex infrastructure issues, including hands-on support at customer sites when required.\nThe technical environment includes Cisco UCS, VMware Cloud Foundation, Microsoft Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, enterprise backup products, storage technologies and infrastructure-as-code practices.\nAbout You\nWe are looking for someone who brings judgement, curiosity and a collaborative approach to work that matters.\nEssential for this role:\nExtensive experience with Cisco UCS and VMware Cloud Foundation solutions, including integration with network and supporting services.\nExperience in server administration across Microsoft Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019 and 2022.\nCapability in administering Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and DFS, together with knowledge of enterprise backup products.\nAbility to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure issues, tune system performance and produce clear technical and operational documentation.\nAbility to communicate technical advice and work effectively with engineering teams, customers and other stakeholders.\nAdvantageous, but not essential:\nExperience with storage technologies and administration, particularly NetApp.\nExperience applying infrastructure-as-code and automation practices to enterprise platform delivery and operations.\nMicrosoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) or MCTIP certification.\nVMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification.\nITIL Foundation certification.\nThis role requires the successful applicant to be an Australian citizen and hold an NV1 security clearance.\nCertain roles may be subject International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements which may limit persons who hold dual nationality with certain proscribed countries from accessing material, or in the case of dual Australian-U.S citizens, may require the candidate to obtain a U.S. Persons Abroad authorisation from the U.S DDTC.\nIf this role interests you, we encourage you to apply.
