This position directly supports the DISA-provided capabilities and services.\nThe Leidos Digital Modernization Sector/Global Solutions Management-Operations II (GSMO-II) contract has an opening for a Network Engineer. The Network Engineer will perform sustainment, maintenance, Problem and Change management services to help ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of the Department of Defense IP networks.\n * Shift Hours: Swing shift (3pm - 11pm) *\nPrimary Responsibilities\nResponsible for performing the following duties:\nPerform engineering tasks related to the design, implementation, and integration of network changes and sustainment of customer systems in an Wide Area Network environment.\nConduct planning and performance of analytical research, design development, and other tasks to align with customer specifications.\nControl network systems to ensure 99% or better system uptime and connectivity.\nEnsure efficient delivery of contract capabilities using industry standards and repeatable processes.\nMitigate risks, control costs and schedule variance, and effectively manage large scale, integrated projects.\nPerform a variety of analytical tasks which include hardware and software design and implementation.\nBasic Qualifications\nCurrently possess DoD 8750 certification at IAT level II, Security+ CE or equivalent to meet requirement.\nExperience analyzing VLAN, routing, IP addressing and sub-netting.\nExperience with Palo Alto firewalls, F5 appliances, and Splunk systems\nExperience troubleshooting and configuring IP networks using at least one of the following routing methods: BGP, ISIS or OSPF, Static routing.\nExperience with either service provider or enterprise IP networks using an interface on Cisco (ESR and ASR) and/or Juniper routers.\nExperience with ports and protocols.\nCurrently possess an active DoD Secret security clearance.\nPreferred Qualifications\nEqually proficient in Juniper and Cisco configuration, troubleshooting, and design.\nExperience with Cisco IOS XR, JUNOS, and Cisco IOS codes.\nPearl or other language scripting capable of running backup confits and other scripting to pull information from Cisco/Juniper routers\nIPSEC configuration, troubleshooting, and design experience.\nMPLS configuration, troubleshooting, and design experience.\nIPV6 configuration, troubleshooting, and design experience.\nSecurity certification and/or knowledge of DDoS and other attack vectors experienced in today' networks.\nCrypto configuration, troubleshooting, and design experience.\nLayer 2/3 VPN and Firewall knowledge and experience.\nPhysical cable plant and wiring experience.\nCertifications with major network system vendors such as Cisco are a strong plus.\nExcellent project, technical, interpersonal, presentation and problem management skills.\nExtensive network integration experience for a variety of network protocol standards.\nAbility to communicate orally, and in writing, detailed technical information on troubleshooting and implementation efforts.\nFamiliarization of DOD regulations and directives.\nRequired Education and Experience\nRequires BS degree and 2-4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
