Join us and make a difference in National Security!\nJob Description\nThe Network Engineer SME provides technical expertise in network engineering, administration, and operations. This role maintains enterprise network infrastructure to ensure proper configuration, availability, performance, capacity, and maintenance (including application of the latest patches and upgrades). This role monitors technology obsolescence, manages upgrades, and evaluates alternatives across on-premises and cloud IT infrastructures, both virtual and physical. This role monitors operations and collects and evaluates metrics to manage network services and for inclusion into project KPIs and Service Level Agreements (SLA). This individual performs risk assessment, risk mitigation analysis, vendor trade studies, and appropriate documentation to ensure network services are available according to established Service Level Agreements (SLA). This role ensures continuity of operations including disaster recovery.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nThis role is responsible for architecture, design, installation, configuration, administration, support, and maintenance of networks, including associated hardware and cloud resources. \nDuties include updating to new technologies, tuning performance, and prioritizing the implementation of critical system patches. \nThis infrastructure includes on-premises and cloud resources.\nBasic Qualifications:\nMaster’s degree with 15+ years of prior relevant experience or a Doctorate with 13+ years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.\nMust have an active TS/SCI with a Polygraph, to be considered.\nExpert in providing technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments.\nExpert in establishing goals and plans that meet project objectives.\nDomain and expert technical knowledge.\nExpert in directing and controlling activities for a client, having overall responsibility for financial management, methods, and staffing to ensure that technical requirements are met.\nExpert in interfacing with senior management and negotiating with clients on requirements and deliverables.\nExperience with Cloud technologies -AWS\nExpert level experience with Cisco and Nexus Architecture with experience with designing, configuring, and troubleshooting enterprise-level Cisco/Nexus networking hardware (9K/7K/5K/2K).\nExpert experience in scripting skills with shell, python, PERL and the like\nProven experience installing and maintaining security patches on servers\nDocumented experience creating maintaining and implanting detailed documentation for standard systems operating procedures\nExpert experience supporting Windows and Unix environments\nAbility to analyze available hardware and software from external vendors and make recommendations for purchase and installation\nExpert experience with ITIL\nIn-depth knowledge of Cisco Enterprise environments\nExpert experience with IP, Routing and Connection services\nExpert experience working on a SAFe Agile Framework.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience architecting and securing hybrid or multi-cloud environments\nExperience developing DevOps infrastructure using GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible and related tools\nCCNP, CCNA \nIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
