Our recruiting team will connect with qualified applicants as positions become available.\nThe Oracle Database Administrator will join a high-impact program, focused on designing, building, delivering, and supporting highly available, scalable, real-time data persistence for mission-critical applications. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing database schemas and structures according to project requirements. This person should be a seasoned, self-motivated, professional with at least 5 years of hands-on database admin experience.\nThis position is 100% on-site based in Arlington, VA.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nPerforms technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and support ability and effectiveness analysis.\nProactively monitors database health, optimizes SQL code, and addresses performance bottlenecks.\nDesigns and implements database schemas and structures according to project requirements.\nPerform daily database administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of system database and replication issues.\nMonitor database performance and memory allocations using standard tools.\nDevelops and maintains documentation for database environments, including data standards and procedures.\nDevelop and execute SQL queries for routine and ad hoc requests.\nModify existing database scripts to enhance systems support and create new database scripts for recurring database issues.\nImplements security measures, sets up user permissions, and ensures compliance with data protection policies.\nTranslate requirements and data into usable database schemas by creating or recreating ad hoc queries, scripts and macros, making updates to existing queries, and creating new queries to manipulate data into a master file.\nPlans for storage requirements and database growth, and scale infrastructure as needed.\nMaintains data accuracy and ensures maximum uptime and may require some on-call support.\nTroubleshoot and resolve database problems.\nCollaborates with developers to optimize queries, stored procedures, and database design for applications.\nMust be a self-starter, strong leader, and the ability to work independently with little supervision.\nBasic Qualifications\nMust hold a BA degree and have 8+ years of relevant experience. Additional experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree.\nCandidate must possess an active DOD TS/SCI. May be asked to obtain CI Poly.\nBachelor's degree in a technical discipline and at least eight (8) years of relevant experience. Additional experience may be substituted for a degree.\nMust have at least five (5) years of demonstrated experience as a database administrator.\nMust have at least five (5) years of Oracle Database Administration experience, specifically with Oracle 12c, 19c, or later.\nMust have in-depth experience implementing and maintaining database security.\nMust have in-depth experience conducting database performance tuning and monitoring.\nMust have in-depth experience troubleshooting and resolving database problems/issues.\nMust have experience with procedural languages such as PL/SQL and proficiency in PL/SQL development and optimization.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nDemonstrated experience communicating effectively across internal and external organizations\nPreferred prior experience with DISA and DISA’s support to mission partners\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with real time highly available data replication technologies such as Oracle Data Guard (configuration, monitoring, failover/switchover).\nExperience with SQL tuning and diagnostic skills including performance tuning (AWR ADDM).\nExperience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology and/or as a member of an Agile team.\nExperience with database design and development.\nExtensive, in-depth understanding of databases, primarily Oracle and/or other relational and non-relational/NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL.\nExperience using Oracle SQL/PLSQL, and SQL in general.\nIAT Level II Baseline Certification (e.g. CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP.)\nIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
