We are customer-driven and always strive to provide the best professional experience.\nTypical assignments may include the following but not limited to:\nWorks under the direction of Supervisory Paralegal, Project Supervisor or Direct Report.\n\nPerforms tasks while complying with established procedures\n\nCompiles, prepares, and summarizes relevant materials for use by attorneys in discovery and in preparation of motions, briefs and other legal documents;\n\nSummarizes depositions and other transcripts; maintains case files; performs simple legal research; indexes, tracks and controls document discovery (including documents produced and received in discovery);\n\nIndexes, tracks and exhibits and other materials at depositions and at trial.\n\nPrepares exhibit cross-references.\n\nAssists attorneys in courtroom.\n\nReviews documents for relevance and privilege according to established guidelines and criteria. Other examples of the types of work to be performed include compilation of documents for FOIA, production requests, Congressional inquiries, etc.\n\nBasic Qualifications:\nRequires paralegal certificate, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least one year of study.\n\nAt least one year of litigation paralegal experience or project experience required.\n\nMust have basic legal knowledge, including knowledge of standard legal citation to cite check legal motions and memorandum.\n\nMust have sufficient experience with legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw to perform basic legal research.\n\nThorough knowledge and hands-on familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including word processing, databases (such as document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, imaging, and hardware systems.\n\nBasic familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources.\n\nMust be a US Citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust clearance\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience working in a Government and/or Litigation Support environment in conjunction with basic qualifications, valued.\n\nTrial experience very helpful.\n\nExperience with Relativity or similar applications.\n\nAutomated litigation support experience.\n\nCurrent or active clearance.\n\nThis position is covered under the Service Contract Act and is subject to minimum requirements.
