In this role, you will work amongst cross-functional personnel to provide Project Management Services supporting a large electric utility client. The successful candidate will manage a large portfolio of complex electric projects throughout their lifecycle, engaging key stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of scope, cost, schedule, and customer satisfaction.\nThe Project Manager will be part of Leidos' Power Delivery Solutions Division that provides consulting services to both public- owned and investor-owned electric utilities. Therefore, candidates in or near NY or the Northeastern US will be preferred.\nResponsibilities:\nAccurately maintain project budgets and forecasts monthly.\nEnsure compliance with financial governance policies and procedures \nIdentify and mitigate risks to the project delivery process including but not limited to permitting, logistical, material, resource, contractual and cost constraints.\nEnsure compliance with regulatory and other mandatory targets.\nPrepare for and attend workplans and other stakeholder meetings.\nAssemble project teams comprised of various project stakeholders and host project specific meetings to resolve risks or persistent issues.\nEnsure timely completion of reports as required by the business.\nMonitor performance against key performance indicators and adjust ways of working as necessary to achieve a high level of performance.\nChallenge existing ways of working and facilitate improvements to company best practices to achieve the highest level of efficiency and performance.\nAccurately maintain detailed project schedules monthly with Project Controllers in Primavera P6 including project requirements, activity and milestone dates, resourcing, status, etc.\nProvide leadership and oversight to a group of internal and external stakeholders, driving efficiency and effectiveness, key strategies and processes to successfully deliver fiscal year targets.\nBackground Requirements/Qualifications:\nA minimum of 4+ years of progressive Project Management experience within the Electric Utility Industry; Experience as a Project Manager directly at an electric utility is strongly preferred\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, or related field; Additional Relevant experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.\nDemonstrated Experience working with US Electric Utilities, and a comprehensive understanding of electric power and infrastructure projects is required\nExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal\nAbility to travel periodically with a valid driver's license is required\nWorking Knowledgde of Primavera P6 strongly preferred \nCandidates with varying levels of experience may be considered, and pay ranges will be commensurate with selected candidates' experience and qualifications.\nIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
