This role provides leadership and expertise in production control, scheduling, and manufacturing orders to achieve complex program requirements.\nThe Production Control Planner/Scheduler III is responsible for managing production activities across multiple programs, driving resolution of schedule and material conflicts, and ensuring ERP data accuracy. Apply and share your resume with us today!\nPrimary Responsibilities\nLead production planning activities across multiple projects, balancing capacity, materials, and schedule requirements.\nMonitor and control work order execution, proactively resolving shortages, engineering changes, and priority conflicts.\nInterpret, prioritize, and execute MRP action messages to adjust procurement, rescheduling, and work order release decisions.\nDevelop and maintain production schedules, Line of Balance (LOB) charts, and milestone tracking.\nProvide production control expertise in cross-functional meetings with Program Management, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain.\nEnsure ERP system accuracy (Deltek Costpoint preferred) for all assigned programs, including work order, WIP, and inventory management.\nGenerate reports, dashboards, and status updates for leadership and program stakeholders.\nMentor and guide Production Control Planner I/II team members, providing training and knowledge sharing.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives for planning processes, KPIs, and reporting tools.\nEnsure compliance with company policies, AS9100 standards, and government regulations.\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree with 4-8 years of prior relevant work experience or a Masters degree with 2-6 years of prior relevant work experience.. In lieu of a degree, a High School diploma with 10 years of experience will be considered.\nMinimum 3 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or warehousing with degree. Six years without degree.\nStrong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (Deltek Costpoint preferred).\nExperience interpreting and executing MRP action messages in an ERP system.\nDemonstrated success in managing production schedules and resolving complex issues in a defense or aerospace environment.\nProven ability to work across functions and influence outcomes in a matrixed environment.\nU.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.\nMust be a resident of or willing to relocate to the Huntsville / North Alabama area.\nThis posting is for multiple opportunities ranging in years of experience.
