This is a hybrid role that requires onsite support 3 days per week and offers an excellent opportunity for an early-career finance professional to develop technical expertise, strengthen business acumen, and grow into a trusted financial partner to program leadership.\nThe successful candidate will support financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis while working closely with Program Managers, senior finance personnel, and cross-functional teams. will bring a strong foundation in financial analysis, a commitment to accuracy, and the curiosity to understand not only the financial results, but also the underlying business drivers that influence program performance.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nSupport the financial management of assigned government programs, including monitoring costs, revenue, profitability, contract funding, and overall financial performance.\nAssist in developing and maintaining program budgets, Estimates at Completion (EACs), and financial forecasts.\nAnalyze financial results against budgets and forecasts, identify variances, and help explain the underlying drivers of program performance.\nMonitor contract funding, expenditures, and financial commitments to identify potential issues and support timely resolution.\nPrepare and validate recurring financial reports, customer deliverables, and invoice supporting documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.\nSupport monthly financial close activities, including cost reviews, accruals, and financial reporting.\nAnalyze labor costs, staffing trends, subcontractor expenditures, and other program expenses to support financial planning and decision-making.\nPartner with Program Managers and senior finance personnel to develop an understanding of program operations, financial objectives, and business challenges.\nCollaborate with Contracts, Subcontracts, Accounting, Billing, and other functional teams to research and resolve financial discrepancies.\nSupport preparation of financial information for internal program reviews, leadership briefings, and customer meetings.\nMaintain financial tracking tools and supporting documentation, identifying opportunities to improve accuracy and efficiency.\nProactively investigate financial questions, identify potential risks, and recommend solutions with appropriate guidance.\nDevelop a working knowledge of government contracting requirements, financial systems, and company financial processes.\nGradually assume greater ownership of financial analysis, reporting, and assigned program responsibilities as experience and capabilities develop.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field and 2+ years of prior relevant experience.\nPrior experience should include financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, or a related financial function.\nActive TS/SCI with Poly clearance is required.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.\nStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial information, identify discrepancies, and investigate underlying causes.\nExcellent attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.\nStrong organizational and time management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain financial information clearly.\nAbility to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and establish positive working relationships.\nDemonstrated initiative, problem-solving ability, and willingness to learn new processes and systems.\nAbility to work independently on assigned tasks while recognizing when additional guidance or collaboration is needed.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting program finance, project controls, or financial analysis in a government contracting environment.\nFamiliarity with government contract types, including Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Time and Materials (T&M), and Firm Fixed Price (FFP).\nExposure to Estimates at Completion (EACs), financial forecasting, or program budgeting.\nUnderstanding of contract funding, financial reporting, or government contracting requirements.\nExperience with enterprise financial systems such as Costpoint, Oracle, or comparable applications.\nExperience preparing customer financial reports, invoice supporting documentation, or other contractual financial deliverables.\nFamiliarity with Power BI or other financial reporting and data visualization
