Our team is solving the world’s toughest security challenges for customers with “can’t fail” missions.\nIf this sounds like an environment where you can thrive, keep reading!\nThe AFNCR IT Services program provides support services for information systems for Headquarters Air Force (HAF), Air Force District of Washington (AFDW), Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Chiefs of Staff, and other Air Force activities within the AFNCR, missions to include the Pentagon, Joint Base Andrews (JBA), Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB), and other locations, leased spaces, and alternate sites. The major support areas required are IT Operations and Maintenance; Plans, Projects, and Engineering (PP&E); and National Military Command Center (NMCC). The senior leaders and national defense missions that are supported require that the AFNCR operations never fail, resulting in a fast-paced, challenging, but also rewarding environment.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nPlan, coordinate and manage small and medium projects.\nIntegrate all functions and activities necessary to perform the project/program to meet the client or customer requirements.\nPresent project related information potentially to the customer, internal leadership and peers. \nCreate project management plans, set expectations, and ensure the project plans are driven by organizational procedures.\nCoordinates with cross-functional project stakeholders to develop project scope, objectives, goals, and deliverables.\nEnsures that requirements are gathered, documented, reviewed, and approved per organizational/PMO standards.\nEnsure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and remain in scope. \nMonitors and tracks project dependencies.\nCreate a breakdown structure that defines all activities required for the project deliverables.\nEstablish and provide high-quality, informative written and verbal project communications, including weekly status, dashboards, and project updates.\nActively monitor, track, and manage project tasks, timelines, attainment of established milestones and overall quality of project activities and deliverables.\nBasic Qualifications:\nTypically requires a Bachelors degree and 4+ years of prior relevant experience or Master’s with 2+ years of prior relevant experience additional years of experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.\nCurrently possess an active Secret security clearance.\nSolid understanding of Project Management and Project Management Office functions.\nAbility to build and maintain relationships, partnerships, and external networks.\nAbility to work independently, with minimal supervision and work effectively in a collaborative team environment while keeping the team informed.\nExcellent customer-facing skills.\nExcellent research, decision-making and organizational skills are required.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nProven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Project or similar project management tool.\nMaintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection and other guidelines where appropriate.\nPMP Certification within 6 months.\nITIL v4, optional.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nRequirement Analysis.\nProcess Improvement.\nInternal and external customer interfacing skills. \nBusiness Development.\nExtensive knowledge of military organizations and prior experience working with the Air Force.\nClearance Required:\nActive DoD Secret clearance.\nIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
