This role spans concurrent development, integration, test, production, and sustainment activities. Share your resume with us today!\nPrimary Responsibilities\nThe selected candidate will be located at Leidos’ main campus in Huntsville, AL and will serve as a reporting manager for a team of 6-8 technical staff including computer and software engineers. The selected candidate with work with a wide spectrum of personnel including executive leadership, program managers, chief engineers, technical staff, business development, and functional organizations across the Leidos enterprise to provide:\nProvide technical leadership across the full software lifecycle, ensuring alignment with mission requirements, performance constraints, and system integration needs \nTechnical direction for maintaining and expanding software/firmware codebases for radar / electronic warfare sensor systems including real-time system architectures and signal processing algorithms. \nLeadership for growing a talented team and mentorship for developing junior engineers into strong technical contributors and future organizational leaders.\nEffective and efficient execution of new and existing programs in support of a wide range of Department of Defense customers and contractors.\nCultivation and development of existing customer relationships while working to develop new relationships that enhance and expand our customer base.\nEnsure adherence to software engineering best practices, including DevSecOps, automated testing, and configuration management \nIf you have strong critical thinking skills and a mindset to get things done and deliver products. APPLY!\n.\nBasic Qualifications\nMust have a bachelor’s in an engineering discipline, preferably in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution with 8-12 years of relevant experience or Master’s degree and 6-10 years of relevant experience or PHD with 2-6 years of experience .\nExperience testing or integrating systems across multiple technical domains \nExperience with operating containerized Linux software and deploying software to air-gapped systems \nProblem solving mindset that covers multiple technical domains with a focus on delivering products \nStrong organizational and communication skills \nMust be a U.S. citizen \nMust be able to obtain a Secret and Top Secret security clearance \nMust be a resident of Huntsville, AL or willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area \nPreferred Qualifications\nAdvanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline \nProficiency in C++ and object-oriented design, with experience in performance-critical applications \nExperience with GPU acceleration (CUDA), MATLAB, or advanced algorithm development \nStrong background in EW concepts, such as electronic attack, electronic protection, and electronic support \nRadar Subject Matter Expertise (SME) and a master’s degree in engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering.\nExperience serving as a reporting managing for technical staff, including individual performance and career development mentoring, is a plus\nExperience with systems engineering, verification processes, test planning, and execution \nSolid foundation in modern software engineering practices, including CI/CD and test-driven development \nExperience leading teams and building high-performance engineering organizations \nPrior experience supporting U.S. Air Force or DoD EW programs \nActive Secret or Top Secret security clearance \nIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
