You’ll leverage your skills to provide their expertise in infrastructure provisioning and configuration and software deployment across the software development lifecycle. In this role, there is the potential to support multiple contracts to help provide growth and broadening opportunities within Leidos.\nMost of the work will be on site in Leidos' facility in Omaha, Nebraska. Some level of remote/work from home is possible.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nAll aspects of the software development lifecycle including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding, Leverage open-source and in-house tools to manage infrastructure via code, designing reusable infrastructure components for scalable, highly-available, secure architectures for container-based and non-container-based applications.\nAssist in providing input and expertise to senior engineers to maintain alignments with best practices and recommending system improvements while overseeing the automated deployment, roll-back, and monitoring of applications into software development, test, and production environment.\nMentor fellow DevOps Engineers as needed.\nDevelop automated CI/CD build/deployment pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, Kubernetes, Helm, Docker/Podman, and Ansible.\nApply DevOps expertise to ensure congruence of the various infrastructure, software, configurations and interfaces maintained under configuration control.\nWork with an Agile team, attend daily scrums; communicating and collaborating frequently with teammates to ensure successful completion of project objectives.\nTroubleshoot and resolve installation, infrastructure, and system issues.\nProactively and independently identify, report, monitor, and mitigate technical risks.\nBasic Qualifications:\nUS Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.\nBachelor’s degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or a Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.\nKnowledge and understanding of DevOps trends and technologies.\nWorking knowledge of Git and experience with development workflows in GitLab, Bitbucket or an equivalent tool.\nExperience designing, building and deploying DevOps pipelines with GitLab, Jenkins, or equivalent tools.\nExperience designing and implementing application deployment pipelines and developing software in a containerized environment with Kubernetes and Docker.\nExperience with Kubernetes application deployment/management tools such as Helm or Kustomize.\nFull software lifecycle automation experience (design, development, test, deployment), including deployment to a production environment.\nExperience with automated provisioning and configuration tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Chef, Puppet, Ansible or similar technologies.\nExperience integrating code review systems into the SCM process.\nExperience with Linux and Windows operating systems, network administration, and networking protocols/functions (e.g., HTTP, HTTPS, SSL/TLS, SMTP, DNS.).\nExperience working with Agile software development teams and implementing continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.\nExcellent problem solving and analysis skills, including the ability to logically create structure and order from unstructured inputs.\nExcellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nUS Citizen with an active Secret security clearance or higher.\nExperience developing and deploying software in a DoD environment (DISA experience is a plus), including experience building and deploying software applications that meet DoD security standards and updating applications and code to meet security scans and security implementation guidelines (e.g. STIGs).\nExperience with GitOps concepts and related tools, such as Argo CD.\nExperience designing, developing and deploying software in a cloud environment (Azure is a plus).\nExperience with static code analysis, particularly security scans.\nExperience designing and building automated software testing pipelines using Ansible, Selenium, JMeter, Junit and/or other applicable tools.\nKubernetes certification such as CKA or CKAD.\nProfessional cybersecurity certification such as Security+, or similar.\nITIL v3 Foundations Certification.\nDABAOPP1\nIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
