This is a fast-paced program that requires someone who works well in a dynamic environment.\nThe Field Engineer is responsible for procedural input to the planning, preparation, and execution of all projects. Responsible for the technical direction, leadership, and training of less experienced staff. Must have the ability to complete complex assignments without direction and direct those engineers that are more junior. Additional Field Engineer duties shall include but are not limited to the following:\nThe work will vary based on site specific requirements, but shall include, as applicable, the following types of activities:\nPerform the physical setup and configuration of desktop hardware and software to include external peripherals that may be required.\nTroubleshoot network connectivity issues.\nInstall applicable equipment (with racks if needed)\nPerform onsite testing of equipment and coordinate with other engineers\nInstall and connect applicable cables\nCoordinate pick-up and delivery of equipment\nTroubleshoot desktop and network anomalies and contact the appropriate groups for additional support.\nServe as technical liaison between the site and the appropriate technical business areas for resolution of IT issues and system upgrades.\nBuild workstations per established procedures.\nManage software and hardware support as needed.\nMaintain access control by creating new user accounts, maintain existing accounts, and troubleshoot user login or access issues.\nMonitor server activities and provide technical support that requires expert knowledge using advanced technical principles.\nMaintain operational status of all phone systems.\nAfter hours response/resolution for technical issues\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field; and at least 8 years of experience or 12 years of related experience performing engineering functions on programs of similar size, scope, and complexity ion lieu of degree.\nMust have an active TS/SCI with poly to be considered\n8+ years as an engineer supporting technical programs\nExperience in IP Related Services: TCP/IP\nExperience installing and maintaining Cisco routers and switches\nExperience with UPS systems and AC/DC power systems, to include installation/connection\nWorking knowledge of CAT 5 and CAT 6 cable, connectors, and demonstrated capability of fabricating required equipment\nKnowledge of fiber, servers, routers, edge switches and desktop hardware.\nExperience using Remedy, VISIO, and MS Office\nIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
