You will be providing your Linux Systems Administration expertise to ensure DoW scientists have reliable access to these critical resources and in turn, will be directly supporting the warfighter.\nAll work will be performed at our customer’s site on Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH and a Top Secret Clearance is required to begin work on the program.\nWhat You'll Do:\nServe as Deputy Team Lead over the local System Administration Functional team.\nProvide for RedHat Linux systems administration, performance tuning, client security administration, systems software support, and technology assessments in support of a multi-platform UNIX environment.\nPerform systems enhancement, configuration, maintenance, installation, interfaces, coordination, and software installations and upgrades to UNIX operating systems and layered software packages.\nMonitor and tune systems to achieve optimum level of performance in accordance with established policies, procedures, and service level agreements.\nPerform acceptance testing of modules, subsystems, and total systems. \nPerform software installation and configuration.\nMonitor log files, performance issues, and the production environment for mission critical systems\nDemonstrate ability to set priorities and organize work to meet deadlines\nEnsure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines\nRequired Qualifications:\nMust hold an active in scope TOP SECRET clearance or have the ability to obtain Interim TOP SECRET eligibility prior to start. (US Citizenship required)\nMust hold a bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of equivalent experience, or a master’s degree and 6 years of experience.\nMust hold current DOD 8570 IAT II certification (Linux+, CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) prior to start.\nCommunicates effectively both orally and in a written form with users and office staff\nDemonstrated Linux expertise managing bare metal and virtualized systems\nHands on experience patching, managing, and responding to DoW STIGs including POAM remediations\nExperience supporting and working with ISSO’s and ISSM’s\nProficient in Ansible or equivalent configuration management experience\nPreferred Qualifications:\nProficiency in Linux storage subsystems\nExperience managing RedHat Satellite systems\nExperience managing containerized services within Kubernetes\nAbility to write, diagnose, and optimize scripts written in bash, python, or perl\nFamiliarity managing virtual systems within VMware\nWindows Server and workstation experience\nIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
