You can expect to:\nLead electric utility project execution teams with a diverse set of contributors - including Engineering, Construction, Permitting, Siting, Environmental, Cost Controls, and Scheduling functions - to deliver comprehensive capital projects that maintain Leidos high standards for client delivery \nTake ownership of project performance, including cost, schedule, and scope management, for concurrent projects \nInterface directly with clients and internal stakeholders to address issues, report progress, and proactively mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle\nIdentify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to keep projects on track for cost, schedule, and quality targets \nMentor and guide junior project managers and project controls staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning \nManage monthly client invoicing, accruals, and accounts receivable processes for assigned projects \nEnsure compliance with contract requirements, scope documents, and quality control standards across all phases of execution \nMaintain regular, clear communication with stakeholders, including clients, project teams, subcontractors, and support personnel \nSupport business development efforts by identifying growth opportunities within existing client account(s) and contributing to proposal and estimating efforts as needed \nLead project teams operating within progressive delivery models that align engineering execution \nPeriodic travel throughout the State or region may be required on an as-needed basis\nThis position requires the candidate to be located in Central Ohio, with periodic travel to client offices and project sites. This allows us to best serve our localized utility clients as needed.\nWhat you'll bring to the table (Required Qualifications):\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, or related field\n8+ years of progressive Project Management experience \nPrevious experience working in the Electric Utility Industry required; Experience as a Project Manager directly at an electric utility is strongly preferred\nDemonstrated Experience working with US Electric Utilities, and a comprehensive understanding of electric power and infrastructure projects is required\nDirect experience working with electric power infrastructure projects\nSupervisory experience including team building and talent acquisition\nStrong leadership skills with a focus on portfolio management and team development\nPrevious leadership experience preferred\nExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal\nAbility to travel periodically as required\nPrevious experience working with AEP is preferred\nYou Might Also Have:\nPMP Certification or willingness to obtain within two years\nPrior experience in a leadership position\nDemonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams\nExperience with PowerBI and/or visualization tools\nAt Leidos, we pride ourselves on being a trusted and technology-focused solutions provider.
