We have offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields providing responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.\nThe applicant will join a group of highly technical engineers and analysts supporting the development of a real-time radar simulation product that is used for performing warfighter training and certifications, integrated missile defense exercises, and system level testing assisting development of tactical command and control algorithms. Share your resume with us today!\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nIn this role you will perform radar systems analysis, deep dive customer noted issues through root cause identification and resolution, simplify tactical radar algorithms to representative effects that can function in real-time, and document results for technical briefings to end-users and project leadership.\nThis role involves development of a significant amount of analysis tools through MATLAB / Python to develop and test algorithms to provide to software engineers and to ensure they are working according to design.\nThis position requires working daily on-site at a government customer facility on a multi-contractor team and interacting regularly with industry partners and the government customer. Through this opportunity the candidate will be expected to represent Leidos technically, professionally, and ethically.\nBasic Qualifications:\nCandidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Radar Engineering, or a related STEM discipline, and a minimum of 10 years of experience in radar design, modeling & simulation, and/or analysis.\nAdvanced degrees in STEM disciplines are also strongly encouraged to apply. The minimum number of years of experience could be reduced in view of the advanced degree.\nFamiliarity with compiled software languages such as C/C++, and competence in a broad array of radar topics such as detection theory, tracking, waveform scheduling, and object classification.\nPosition requires strong analysis skills, including analysis experience using MATLAB or Python (Matplotlib). \nMust be a US citizen, possess and be able to maintain an active SECRET clearance.\nCandidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama area.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience in modeling & simulation of radar systems are preferred.\nExperience in interpreting Ada source code are preferred.\nExperience writing radar algorithm description documents are preferred.\nCandidates with proven experience working with radar system simulations, preferably within the defense sector, are highly preferred.\nIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
