Leidos is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Integration Engineer to join the Chinook Program supporting an Intelligence Community (IC) customer and an application supporting important national security objectives.\nAs a Senior Systems Integration Engineer, you’ll be at the center of complex technical integration connecting applications, services, infrastructure, data, interfaces, and mission capabilities into a cohesive operational solution. You’ll work across engineering disciplines to identify integration challenges early, lead technical troubleshooting, and ensure capabilities work together as intended.\nThe Senior Systems Integration Engineer will provide technical leadership for the integration of software, hardware, infrastructure, data, and mission capabilities supporting the application. The engineer will work closely with software engineering, systems engineering, DevSecOps, test engineering, security, architecture, program management, and customer stakeholders to plan, execute, troubleshoot, and validate complex system integrations.\nPosition may be performed in the following locations below.\nTucson, AZ\nGaithersburg, MD\nAlexandria, VA\nChantilly, VA\nEnglewood, CO\nSt. Louis, MO\nClearance Level Required:\nActive Top Secret/SCI with the ability to successfully pass a Polygraph examination.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nLead integration activities across applications, infrastructure, data, network, security, and mission-system components.\nDevelop and maintain system integration strategies, plans, procedures, and technical documentation.\nAnalyze system and software requirements to identify integration dependencies, interfaces, constraints, and risks.\nDefine and document system interfaces and integration requirements.\nCoordinate integration activities across multiple Agile engineering teams.\nLead technical integration working sessions and troubleshoot complex cross-system issues.\nDevelop integration approaches for APIs, microservices, databases, messaging systems, and external interfaces.\nCoordinate environments and technical dependencies required for integration and testing.\nSupport end-to-end system integration and validation activities.\nPartner with Test Engineering to develop integration and end-to-end test strategies.\nInvestigate defects and integration failures and lead root-cause analysis.\nAnalyze logs, application behavior, interfaces, data flows, and system configurations to isolate issues.\nCoordinate resolution of integration defects across engineering teams.\nSupport deployment, release, and operational readiness activities.\nEvaluate technical impacts associated with application changes, infrastructure changes, and new capabilities.\nIdentify integration risks and dependencies early and communicate them to engineering and program leadership.\nMaintain integration schedules, technical dependencies, and readiness criteria.\nSupport Agile ceremonies, PI Planning, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and technical demonstrations.\nParticipate in architecture and technical design reviews.\nProvide technical guidance and mentorship to less-experienced systems and integration engineers.\nCollaborate with customer and mission stakeholders to understand operational integration requirements.\nSupport continuous improvement of integration processes, tooling, automation, and engineering practices.\nBasic Qualifications:\nUS citizenship is required per contract.\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or Master’s with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree.\nDemonstrated experience with systems integration, software integration, or complex enterprise application environments.\nExperience analyzing system interfaces, dependencies, data flows, and integration requirements.\nExperience troubleshooting complex technical issues across multiple systems or applications.\nExperience with REST APIs, web services, databases, messaging, and distributed systems.\nExperience working in Agile/Scrum environments.\nExperience with requirements management and technical documentation.\nExperience collaborating across software, infrastructure, security, test, and systems engineering teams.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience supporting Intelligence Community (IC) or DoD mission systems.\nExperience with geospatial, intelligence, or other mission-specific data and workflows.\nExperience with AWS and cloud environments.\nExperience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).\nExperience with CI/CD and DevSecOps environments.\nExperience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).\nExperience with GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus, Vault, or Keycloak.\nExperience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, or similar technologies.\nExperience with Kafka or other messaging/event streaming technologies.\nExperience with GitLab, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.\nExperience with automated integration testing.\nExperience with system-of-systems integration.\nIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
