The successful candidate will be eager to learn, adapt to client needs, and support the implementation of the ServiceNow roadmap. The ServiceNow Developer will collaborate with a diverse workforce within a matrix environment and communicate effectively while helping gather and document requirements from stakeholders, working alongside the team to build upon the existing ServiceNow foundation.\nAs a ServiceNow Developer, you will play a supporting role in designing, developing, and implementing solutions within the ServiceNow platform. You will help maintain and support continual service improvements on modules such as: ITSM, ITOM, CSM, ITAM, CMDB, HAM and HRSD.\nThis position is hybrid. However, candidates must be willing to work east coast core work hours and are to be local to the Washington, DC area.\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience\n1-2 years of experience with the ServiceNow platform, or demonstrable foundational knowledge of its architecture and capabilities.\nExposure to design, development, or support tasks on a platform or software project.\nBasic familiarity with ITSM, ITOM, and ITAM concepts.\nShows initiative, asks good questions, and is a proactive self-starter who seeks feedback.\nPositive attitude, willingness to learn, and team-oriented mindset.\nGood communication and organizational skills.\nWillingness to work within an Agile framework: participate in daily scrums and ceremonies, and update stories in ServiceNow to document progress.\nInterest in or exposure to ServiceNow custom-scoped application development is a plus.\nResponsibilities:\nTeam Support:\nExhibits strong customer service and teamwork, collaborating effectively with teammates, clients, and vendors under the guidance of senior staff.\nCommunicates ideas clearly and gathers feedback from team members; contributes creativity and collaboration in team discussions.\nHelps identify risks and challenges and brings them to the attention of senior team members.\nParticipates in development reviews and seeks guidance from mid-level and senior staff.\nAssists in gathering and documenting business and system requirements.\nSupports the development of use cases and testing procedures, helping verify product functionality prior to production deployment.\nParticipates in project team meetings with technical staff and other stakeholders.\nAssists with implementation plans, SOPs, and system architecture documentation under supervision.\nSupports the architecture, design, and implementation of ServiceNow solutions as directed.\nHelps prepare status reports and presentations by collecting and organizing information.\nMaintains and helps organize project documentation.\nAI exposure: interest in Now Assist, third-party LLM APIs, or automated test frameworks.\nDevelopment:\nBasic experience or coursework with JavaScript/Glide, HTML5, jQuery, and CSS; exposure to Angular JS is a plus.\nAssists in configuring environments for applications and supporting release management and production support activities.\nHelps design, create, and configure Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts, and ACLs with guidance from senior developers.\nSupports the development of automation workflows, performs unit tests, and follows established coding standards and best practices.\nExposure to Flow Designer is a plus.\nExposure to system integrations is a plus.\nCollaborates with the team on software design tasks, contributing to work estimates for smaller features.\nCoordinates with other development, infrastructure, and operations teams as directed.\nWhat Sets You Apart:\nExposure to integrating ServiceNow with external systems.\nAbility to support one project with focus and reliability.\nServiceNow Certifications\nKnowledge of AI integration within ServiceNow, including Now Assist and AI Agents.\nStrong knowledge of ServiceNow Suite (ITSM, ITOM, ITAM), workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, and portal development)\nExpertise in ITAM (SAM/HAM) and ITOM (CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping) modules.\nIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
