At a minimum, a Secret clearance is required upon the start of employment and within 14 days following the start date the employee must obtain their Security + certification.\nThe Release Manager is responsible for working within a fast paced, Agile team to support the management of requirements, promotion of update sets from one environment to the next, design, integration, and delivery of new functionality in support existing frameworks in the AWS Cloud. This position would support requirements, design, integration, and deployment of new automated capabilities for end users. The Release Manager will oversee the development, testing, deployment, and support involved in the design and releases of the Joint Management Tool and Teleport efforts. The release manager will incorporate goals and long-term strategic planning, as well as the individual tactical steps employed to help reach those goals.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nThe successful candidate primary responsibility will:\nPlan and guide cross functional teams in executing project tasks using the principles of Lean Agile development. Additionally, this position will play a pivotal role in collaborating with Product Owners, requirements team, development teams, and other stakeholders to mitigate dependencies, incorporate strategies to address technical debt, and implement configuration and code.\n\nCollaborate with process owner(s), technical leads, and a variety of process stakeholders.\n\nRelease manager is responsible for all minor and significant releases.\n\nHave excellent analysis, communication and problem-solving skills, taking ownership of complex incidents ensuring these are resolved to the satisfaction of the customer.\n\nLead and own the established release management process, including the assessment, analysis, planning and design of release packages, update sets and assessment of risk.\n\nDrive cross-team, functional impediments, planning, collaboration, and coordination.\n\nHelp the release team escalate and remove impediments.\n\nLead teams: provide coaching on the release process to help resolve process issues.\n\nAbility to build product roadmap in Jira.\n\nExperience developing metrics and reports for tracking sprint, project, and overall program execution.\n\nProven track record in implementing Agile methodologies to improve software delivery.\n\nExcellent stakeholder management and ability to manage their demands.\n\nWorking closely with End Users, Software, Data, and DevOps Engineers, and Data Scientists.\n\nAssisting in defining processes for technical platforms, system specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility.\n\nIdentifying the ‘As-Is’ process and working with the Product Owner, SMEs, and developers to create the ‘To-Be’ process.\n\nTracking, monitoring and making updates to user stories directly in the Atlassian Jira tool.\n\nDevelop business process maps using a standard methodology and toolset.\n\nCollaborating with colleagues to monitor and report technical variances; facilitating resolution of technical issues that adversely impact successful product delivery.\n\nQuickly adapt to customer dynamic environment and adopt their processes and foster innovative ideas.\n\nAsking questions & raising concerns as soon as possible without being prompted\n\nEmploying exceptional problem-solving skills\n\nBasic Qualifications\nRequires a US Citizenship.\n\nMust hold an active DoD Secret clearance.\n\nMust be able to commute to Ft. Meade, MD for full time on-site support\n\nHold and active security certification that meets DOD 8570 IAT level II or higher, such as Security+ upon start.\n\nBachelor’s Degree with 8 - 12 years of relevant experience or master’s with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of work experience in lieu of degree is acceptable.\n\nExperience in Process Mapping\n\nExperience in architecture, design, develop, and delivery of data driven operations capabilities, within a DoD environment.\n\nExperience identifying and tracking related project task dependencies, risks & possible mitigations.\n\nExperience estimating level of effort (hrs./days/resources) to feed a projected project schedule.\n\nExperience working with a highly technical team and in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.\n\nExperience with JIRA, Xray, Confluence and Git repo\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills are required to collaborate with customer representatives, domain experts, systems engineers, and architects.\n\nCandidate to be able to work with strict deadlines.\n\nAbility to work well/collaborate with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience.\n\nKnowledge of CI/CD pipelines and practices to assist in automating releases.\n\nHigh attention to detail and accuracy.\n\nAbility to manage multiple releases simultaneously.\n\nExcellent organizational and project management skills.\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nServiceNow Certified Application Developer\n\nExposure to ServiceNow applications like Telecommunication Management System (TSM), Telecommunications Network Inventory (TNI), Order Management Telecommunications (OMT) modules, etc.\n\nPossesses 3-5 years’ experience with ServiceNow administration, configuration management and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform.\n\nExperience with JIRA, Git and Confluence.\n\nUnderstanding of ITIL foundation or ITIL certified.\n\nAWS cloud and ServiceNow certifications.\n\nServiceNow Platforms modules: Discovery, Event Management, Scripting, Service Mapping, Business Rules, Script Includes, Custom applications, Orchestration, Workflows, Service Catalog.\n\nDemonstrated ability to perform code analysis and troubleshoot difficult technical issues, ability to identify system deficiencies and recommend solutions.\n\nStrong knowledge of server & network infrastructure and the related configuration items used by ServiceNow platform.\n\nExperience or familiarity with Agile development and testing methodology\n\nExperience with DISA and DoD Networks.\n\nExperience with cloud-based AWS services\n\nExperience with cloud-based - specifically AWS - enterprise implementations\n\nExperience with big data applications\n\nExperience with DevOps/DevSecOps, Configuration as Code, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD implementation\n\nExperience with Elastic / Kibana\n\nUnderstanding of network routing devices and network device configurations\n\nIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
