It also includes support to other key tasks for DISA, including the transformation of DISA’s operational mission through innovation, and support to DISA’s mission partners.\nCandidate must be able to be on site at Fort Meade, Scott AFB, or Hill AFB daily.\nThe Release Manager is responsible for working within a fast paced, Agile team to support the management of requirements, promotion of update sets from one environment to the next, design, integration, and delivery of new functionality in support existing frameworks in the AWS Cloud.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nThe successful candidate primary responsibility will:\nPlan and guide cross functional teams in executing project tasks using the principles of Lean Agile development. Additionally, this position will play a pivotal role in collaborating with Product Owners, requirements team, development teams, and other stakeholders to mitigate dependencies, incorporate strategies to address technical debt, and implement configuration and code. \nCollaborate with process owner(s), technical leads, and a variety of process stakeholders.\nRelease manager is responsible for all minor and significant releases.\nHave excellent analysis, communication and problem-solving skills, taking ownership of complex incidents ensuring these are resolved to the satisfaction of the customer.\nLead and own the established release management process, including the assessment, analysis, planning and design of release packages, update sets and assessment of risk.\nDrive cross-team, functional impediments, planning, collaboration, and coordination.\nHelp the release team escalate and remove impediments.\nLead teams: provide coaching on the release process to help resolve process issues.\nAbility to build product roadmap in Jira.\nExperience developing metrics and reports for tracking sprint, project, and overall program execution.\nProven track record in implementing Agile methodologies to improve software delivery. \nExcellent stakeholder management and ability to manage their demands.\nWorking closely with End Users, Software, Data, and DevOps Engineers, and Data Scientists.\nAssisting in defining processes for technical platforms, system specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility.\nIdentifying the ‘As-Is’ process and working with the Product Owner, SMEs, and developers to create the ‘To-Be’ process.\nTracking, monitoring and making updates to user stories directly in the Atlassian Jira tool.\nDevelop business process maps using a standard methodology and toolset.\nCollaborating with colleagues to monitor and report technical variances; facilitating resolution of technical issues that adversely impact successful product delivery.\nQuickly adapt to customer dynamic environment and adopt their processes and foster innovative ideas. \nAsking questions & raising concerns as soon as possible without being prompted\nEmploying exceptional problem-solving skills\nBasic Qualifications\nRequires a US Citizenship.\nMust hold an active DoD Secret clearance.\nMust be able to commute to Scott AFB, IL, Ft. Meade, MD, or Ogden, UT for full time on-site support\nHold and active security certification that meets DOD 8570 IAT level II or higher, such as Security+ upon start.\nBachelor’s Degree with 8 - 12 years of relevant experience or master’s with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience.
