A Secret clearance is required upon the start of employment and within 14 days following the start date the employee must obtain their Security + certification.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nDevelop automated CI/CD build/deployment pipelines using Jenkins (CloudBees), Artifactory, Kubernetes (OpenShift), Docker, Ansible and Bitbucket.\nAssist with the deployment, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, updates/upgrades of Kafka and Elastic clusters and environments.\nConfigure applications to integrate network data into an Elastic (ELK) stack hosted in an AWS cloud environment.\nConfigure applications in accordance to meet DoD security standards, including DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).\nDevelop, and maintain centralized dashboards and observability solutions to monitor application health, performance, availability, security posture, infrastructure utilization, and cloud spend across environments.\nImplement proactive monitoring, alerting, and automation using metrics, logs, traces to improve incident detection, operational visibility, root cause analysis, and system reliability.\nImplement cloud and infrastructure cost optimizations through resource utilization analysis, rightsizing, idle resource identification, storage and compute optimization, and FinOps best practices.\nManage enterprise certificate lifecycle operations, including certificate provisioning, renewal, rotation, expiration monitoring, and automation to ensure secure and uninterrupted service delivery.\nCollaborate with DevOps, Security, Cloud, and Application Engineering teams to integrate security controls, compliance monitoring, automation, and operational standards into CI/CD pipelines and production environments.\nWork with an Agile team, attend daily scrums and demonstrate working software while collaborating with a geographically distributed (remote) team.\nFrequently communicate and collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to ensure successful completion of project objectives.\nDevelop automated tests using Ansible, Selenium, JMeter, JUnit and/or other applicable tools.\nTroubleshoot and resolve installation, infrastructure and system issues.\nProactively and independently identify, report, monitor and mitigate technical risks.\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline, plus 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience.\nExperience developing software in an Agile environment, including the ability to quickly learn new technologies on a rapidly growing project.\nAbility to multi-task, self-assign work, and work in a geographically distributed team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.\nExperience with distributed version control software such as Git and Bitbucket.\nExperience developing software on a Linux platform.\nKnowledge of and ability to apply principles, theories, and concepts of Software Engineering.\nStrong communication skills that enable proactive and effective collaboration with a virtual team, including the ability to clearly articulate status and present to both customers and program leadership.\nDemonstrated leadership skills and attention to detail, including excellent organizational and documentation skills.\nAbility to obtain an interim DoD Secret security clearance prior to start date.\nAbility to obtain a security certification that meets DOD 8570 IAT level II or higher, such as Security+ CE or CISSP, within 60 days of start date.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nFull software lifecycle experience (design, development, test, deployment), including deployment to a production environment.\nExperience developing software in an Agile environment, including the ability to quickly learn new technologies on a rapidly growing project.\nSoftware development experience with Python and Java and SQL, including integration experience with JSON/REST web services, as well as the parsing, generation and validation of JSON. Working knowledge of JavaScript.\nExperience designing, developing and deploying software in a cloud environment (AWS is a plus).\nExperience designing, building and deploying DevOps pipelines with Bitbucket, Git, Jenkins, Artifactory and Ansible (or equivalent tools).\nExperience designing and implementing application deployment pipelines and developing software in a containerized environment with Kubernetes and Docker.\nWorking knowledge of Git and experience with development workflows in GitHub, Bitbucket or an equivalent tool.\nExperience with Atlassian tools, including Bitbucket integrations with JIRA and Confluence.\nExperience working remotely with a geographically dispersed team.\nExperience working as part of an Agile software development team.
