You enjoy working with AI and LLMs, building agents that reason and act, and expressing complex intent declaratively through version-controlled artifacts that can be tested, reviewed, and evolved over time.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, and maintain backend services and microservices that support intelligent, agent-based platforms\nBuild and integrate autonomous or semi-autonomous agents that interact with technical and business systems\nDevelop AI-enabled workflows leveraging LLMs for decision support, automation, analysis, and system interaction\nImplement APIs and orchestration logic that enable agents and services to collaborate effectively\nImplement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to provision and manage cloud environments\nCollaborate with systems engineers and ISSEs to translate requirements and security controls into code\nContribute to Git-based development workflows, including pull/merge requests, code reviews, and documentation\nSupport CI/CD pipelines and secure deployments aligned with ATO requirements\nProduce clear technical documentation covering code, agent behavior, and system interactions\nContribute to an “everything as code” approach, expressing infrastructure, automation, agent behavior, workflows, and operational artifacts as version-controlled, testable code\nRequired Skills and Experience\nBS degree and 4+ years of professional software development experience\nProficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python preferred; Java or Go acceptable)\nExperience building backend services, APIs, or microservices\nExposure to AI/ML systems, LLMs, or intelligent automation (through professional work or applied projects)\nFamiliarity with Infrastructure as Code concepts and tooling\nExperience working in GitLab and/or GitHub with collaborative development practices\nAbility to operate effectively in environments with evolving or ambiguous requirements\nMust have and maintain a Secret security clearance\nPreferred Qualifications\nActive Security+ certification or equivalent IAT Level II certification\nExperience building or orchestrating agents, workflows, or autonomous systems\nFamiliarity with LLM integration patterns (prompting, tools/functions, retrieval, etc.)\nExperience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)\nFamiliarity with cloud platforms (AWS GovCloud preferred)\nExperience developing AI-enabled systems in regulated or secure environments\nExperience applying “as code” approaches beyond infrastructure (e.g., configuration-as-code, policy-as-code, workflows-as-code, documentation-as-code)\nIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
