Join us and make a difference in National Security!\nJob Summary:\nThe Software Test Engineer will be part of a dynamic team working in an agile software development environment that is building a user application to run on a third-party hardware product. The Software Test Engineer will be responsible forthe quality of the developed product and participatingin manual and automated testing operations.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nAuthor and execute manual and automated test cases to ensure product requirements are met.\n\nAuthor and maintaintools, techniques, and practices for assuring the testing of the product.\n\nParticipate in agile planning events, analysis and design events, and reviews.\n\nEnsure that quality checks and acceptance criteria are satisfied before code merges canoccur.\n\nEnsure complete and timelyreporting on bugs and test results.\n\nIdentify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content.\n\nParticipate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.\n\nWrite testing documentation and help finalizeall system and software documentation CDRLs for the program.\n\nRequired Qualifications:\nPosition requires US citizenship and an ACTIVE Secret DoD security clearance\n\nBachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 4-8 years of related experience. Will consider experience in lieu of a degree.\n\nAt least 5 years of experience in software testing and/or software development.\n\nExperience with a scripting language: Python, JavaScript, and related others.\n\nExperience in writing test procedures, defectsand test reports.\n\nProficient in manual testing, regression, and smoke testing.\n\nFamiliarity and/or experience using automated test tools on software projects.\n\nThe ability to communicate effectively with both Product Owners and software developers.\n\nExperience working in cross functional agile teams.\n\nDoD 8570 approved security certification (i.e., Security +, CISSP, etc.) (Will be required90 days after hire).\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nAbility to identifyefficiencies and process improvements between the development and testing disciplines.\n\nExperience with a version control system (e.g., Git, SVN).\n\nExperience with an issue/problem tracking system (e.g., VersionOne, Jira).\n\nExperience with continuous integration environments (e.g., Jenkins).\n\nProficiencywith MS Office Products (i.e., Word, Excel, Visio, & PowerPoint).\n\nBasic knowledge of cryptographic concepts (symmetric vs. asymmetric, hashing, certificates).\n\nComfortable with Windows/Linux environments and basic shell scripting.\n\nDesired Skills:\nAgile certification.\n\nKnowledge of DevOps practices.\n\nFamiliarity with Cameo Systems Modeler for MBSE and SysMLmodeling.\n\nIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
