This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience to help test software for Tactical strike guided munition programs.\nThis position focuses on automated testing, development of robust, innovative software test infrastructures and frameworks, integration testing, informal manual testing, formal software qualification testing, fielding and support, and maintenance of software products. Software products range from analysis tools/simulations, mission planning software, and components of mission-critical syste.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nInvolves direct participation as an integral team member who performs key roles with respect to test planning, test strategy and design, test execution, software engineering processes, and recommendations on product quality.\nInvolves reviewing, editing, and generating various documents used for engineering and testing purposes per industry standards. \nInvolves learning from more senior test engineers.\nInvolves communication with software developers and other team members on a frequent basis.\nBasic Qualifications\nCandidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent technical degree with an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.\nCandidate should have 2+ years of relevant technical experience with BS degree.\nCandidate must be a U.S. citizen and be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense security clearance.\nRelevant technical experience must include testing and/or troubleshooting embedded software or embedded-adjacent applications that interface with, operate, monitor, support, simulate, control, or communicate with embedded systems.\nMust be a resident of North Alabama or willing to relocate to the Huntsville-North Alabama area. \nExperience performing software test on multi-disciplinary projects.\nHave experience implementing with software test automation.\nCandidate must demonstrate ability in software development in either C#/.NET, C, C++, Java, Python, or Ruby programming languages. \nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience writing user interface (UI) tests with automated UI testing technologies.\nExperience with applicable industry standards (IEEE 12207, CMMI, DO-178C and/or DO-278, MIL-STD-882e, RMF).\nThe ability to work across multiple products under development by multiple small teams.\nKnowledge of Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) principles and application\nExperience with containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and microservices technology.\nExperience testing guidance & control algorithms.\nExperience testing navigation systems.\nExperience testing mission planning systems (NOMS, JMPS).\nExperience testing sensors used in guidance, navigation, or mission planning systems.\nFamiliarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and SysML.\nUnderstanding of hardware-software integration and software systems engineering principles\nGreat communication skills with ability to present to senior leadership and government customers.\nIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
