This role drives the implementation of Value Driven Design and advanced Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) workflows across complex, high-priority DoD portfolios. Share your resume with us today!\nPrimary Responsibilities\nPerforming decomposition of Department of Defense safety manuals into requirements and allocating them to design teams for implementation\nProvide systems engineering expertise to the design, integration, and testing of a next generation weapon system\nParticipate in technical planning, system integration, verification, validation, cost, risk, supportability, and analysis for mechanical, electrical, and integrated systems\nEvaluate the physical security design based on the Department of Defense Safety manuals\nInterface directly with various compartments of the Department of Defense and Department of Energy to ensure safe design and operation of nuclear weapon systems\nUse model-based engineering tools on a new major weapon system to pioneer a new way to evaluate and analyze modern design\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in an engineering or science discipline\n10+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 8+ years with a master’s degree in science or engineering for complex aerospace, missile, or defense systems.\nDemonstrated experience owning end-to-end systems engineering (requirements, architecture, interfaces, integration, verification, and validation) on large or complex projects.\nExperience with missile, high-speed flight, or advanced weapon systems (e.g., hypersonics, ballistic missiles, interceptors, or similar).\nExperience with requirements and configuration management tools (e.g., DOORS or equivalent); familiarity with MBSE concepts and tools.\nProven ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams and resolve complex technical issues.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, including experience briefing leadership and customers.\nActive DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance; Top Secret or TS/SCI preferred.\nU.S. citizenship required.\nActive DoD Top Secret or TS/SCI preferred.\nCandidate must be a resident of or be willing to relocate to the Albuquerque, NM or Huntsville Alabama area.\nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster’s degree in in an engineering or science discipline\nDirect experience on hypersonic boost-glide, air-breathing hypersonic, or other high-Mach flight test or weapon programs.\nExperience with responsibility for technical scope, cost, and schedule on government contracts.\nExperience in the area of surety/security for nuclear weapons\nExperience in working with digital communication systems\nExperience in system engineering of complex systems;\nDirect experience with NW component or system design, development or production\nExperience within the NNSA nuclear complex\nExperience with weapon systems and weapon system teams\nDemonstrated ability to integrate multiple systems into a singular solution\nAppkinetic\nIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
