Join us and make a difference in National Security!\nJob Description\nThe Sr. Systems Administrator will provide customer service representative support for Service Desk operations. This role requires an individual that is technical, customer-oriented and familiar with using desktop software applications such as web browsing and client software, as well as IT Service Management software such as JIRA, ServiceNow, or Remedy. The selected individual must be detail-oriented in order to capture customer inquiries appropriately.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nProvides systems and software operations and maintenance support in a large network enterprise, multi-enclave environment.\nRapidly distinguish isolated user problems from enterprise-wide application/system problems.\nCoordinate with customers and stakeholders to collect data, conduct analysis, develop, and implement solutions associated with incident tickets and requirements.\nProvide general systems administration mentoring and training to personnel.\nDevelop and update operations and maintenance documentation for personnel\nResolve highly complex problems using significant application of technical knowledge, conceptualizing, reasoning and interpretation.\nWork to convince others to accept area’s view/current practices and agree/accept new concepts, practices and approaches.\nProvide follow-up reports (technical findings, feedback, resolution steps taken) for root cause analysis, engineering technical assessment and process improvement initiatives. \nRemotely log into the end users' endpoint (desktops and/or servers with Windows or Linux OS) to perform technical software configuration, rebooting, and other remedial actions.\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelors degree with 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.\nMust have an active TS/SCI with a Polygraph, to be considered\nAbility to communicate effectively with executive leadership (internally or client) regarding matters of significant importance to the organization/project.\nStrong understanding of technical principles, theories, concepts and their application across the program.\nServes as a subject matter expert within technical domain area.\nExcellent oral and written communication skills\nIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
