Working as part of a collaborative infrastructure team, you will help deliver a modern virtualisation capability that supports critical applications and business services.\nContribute to the design, build and implementation of a VMware platform, supporting compute, storage, networking and security integration requirements.\nConfigure, administer and optimise VMware technologies including vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, NSX and vSAN to deliver a secure, scalable and resilient environment.\nWork closely with infrastructure, network, security and application teams to support platform integration, operational readiness and ongoing service improvements.\nSupport the transition from project delivery to business-as-usual operations by developing automation, documentation, monitoring and support processes that enable long-term platform sustainability.\nAbout You\nYou are an experienced VMware infrastructure professional who enjoys working across platform design, implementation and operational support. You bring practical experience administering enterprise virtualisation environments and are comfortable troubleshooting complex issues while contributing to ongoing platform improvement.\nEssential\nExperience administering and supporting enterprise VMware environments, including vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, NSX and vSAN.\nCapability in the design, implementation and support of virtualisation platforms, including compute, storage and networking components.\nExperience delivering infrastructure platforms from build and configuration through to operational support.\nKnowledge of platform operations, including monitoring, patching, backup, recovery and lifecycle management.\nExperience troubleshooting and resolving complex infrastructure and virtualisation issues.\nAbility to contribute to scalable, resilient and supportable platform designs that align with operational requirements.\nExperience using automation and scripting tools such as PowerCLI, PowerShell or infrastructure-as-code approaches.\nUnderstanding of platform security, hardening standards, access controls and compliance requirements.\nAbility to collaborate effectively with network, security, cloud and application teams.\nWell-developed communication skills and the ability to document technical solutions, operational procedures and support processes.\nRelevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent practical experience.\nAdvantageous\nVMware certifications such as VCP, VCAP or equivalent industry-recognised certifications.\nExperience working within government, defence or other highly regulated environments.\nExperience supporting the transition of platforms from project delivery into operational support.\nExposure to large-scale, multi-vendor infrastructure environments.\nThis role requires Australian Citizenship and a current NV1 Security Clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain an NV2 Security Clearance.\nIf this role interests you, we encourage you to apply.
