This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience supporting the Air Force Research Laboratory, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, and other DoD missions. In this role, you will support a diverse portfolio of programs through laboratory infrastructure design and buildout, systems administration and maintenance, implementation and maintenance of security requirements, hardware interfacing and integration, and laboratory experimentation.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nImplement and maintain Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) systems and infrastructure for complex networks.\nDocument and communicate proposed solutions to integrated, cross-functional engineering teams in a fast-paced, highly technical environment.\nStay up to date on security, systems administration, and management best practices and technologies.\nParticipate in network and infrastructure design and reviews to ensure the delivery of quality products and enhance skillsets.\nMaintain security patches, perform user management, and support other systems administration activities in accordance with Leidos, government, and contract requirements.\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Administration, or a related field with 2+ years of prior relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 0-2 years of experience in the above-mentioned technical fields. An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.\nMust be a U.S. Citizen.\nMust have an active DoD Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI.\nExperience with scripting in Bash and PowerShell.\nExperience managing systems in both Linux and Windows environments.\nAbility to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in settings ranging from informal one-on-one discussions to small group environments.\nAbility to work well within a team and independently with minimal supervision.\nAbility to work within a dynamic environment, manage multiple priorities, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.\nStrong desire to grow and learn new technologies.\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nRelevant certifications related to systems administration work (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Network+, Server+, CCNA, RHCSA).\nFamiliarity with Agile methodologies, preferably Scrum or Kanban.\nFamiliarity with DHCP, DNS, Certificate Authority, PXE, Active Directory, Linux Identity Management (RHEL IdM, FreeIPA), and other related tools.\nExperience working with virtualization technologies (Proxmox preferred).\nExperience with security scanning, monitoring, and patching in Windows and Linux environments.\nExperience with live, virtual, and constructive environments to understand complex systems and troubleshooting.\nFamiliarity with DoD systems and environments (STIG, FIPS, CUI processing, etc.).\nFamiliarity with containerization technologies such as Docker or Podman.\nExperience with Kubernetes.\nExperience standing up and maintaining systems in limited or offline environments.\nStrong understanding of networking and how to build and configure a complex lab network.\nPrior experience working with the DoD.\nYour opportunity to make an impact starts here.\nLeidos is dedicated to making the world a safer place.
