The scope includes Telecommunications Infrastructure Replacement, Small Tower Voice Switches, Air to Ground Protocol Converters and NEXCOM Radios.\nTelecommunications Engineering Technician Job Duties Include:\nReview FAA data bases and provide input and or draft Site Survey Reports (SSR).\n\nConduct site surveys to provide input and/or draft Site Survey Reports.\n\nCoordinate schedules with SSC, ES, and Verizon personnel.\n\nDraft Project Risk Plans (PRP) and Operational Risk Management Plans (ORMP).\n\nGenerate and/or update drawings, sketches, and artifacts.\n\nDraft project plans for site preparation activities.\n\nCoordinate scheduled outages with SSC, Air Traffic and Operations personnel.\n\nDevelop transition plans.\n\nResolve schedule conflicts.\n\nAccompany unbadged personnel at facilities.\n\nWork with LECs on schedules.\n\nDevelop briefings/information/reports on District status.\n\nWork with other Districts/SSC on interstate service flows, transitions, cutovers, planning, etc.\n\nSupport District POC and SSCs with day-to-day work activities.\n\nReview and provide comments on Verizon Site Specific Implementation Plans (SSIP).\n\nTelecommunications Engineering Technician Required Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering and 4+ years of relevant experience OR a Master's degree. Additional experience may be substituted/considered/accepted in lieu of degree.\n\nAbility to travel up to 75%\n\nAbility to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance Suitability (To be eligible for Public Trust Security Clearance, one must be either a U.S. Citizen OR a U.S. Permanent Resident/Green Card holder who has resided in the U.S.A for the past 3 years.\n\nProficiency in MS Office Suites.\n\nDesired Qualifications:\n2+ years of experience working with Telco systems performing Network Troubleshooting.\n\nProficient working with AutoCAD or similar tools.\n\nKnowledge of National Electric Code (NEC), National Fire Protection Assoc (NFPA) standards, National Airspace System Equipment Tower.\n\nKnowledge of OSHA and general construction and electrical safety standards.\n\nKnowledge of NAS facilities such as ASR, ATCT, VOR, ARSR, RCAG.\n\nLeidos is a Fortune 500™ company aimed at embracing and solving some of the world’s most pressing challenges through science and technology.\nIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
