As a Test Engineer on this program, you will have the opportunity to perform software development to implement scripts, evaluate test results and feedback loops in a Continuous Integration Delivery Pipeline.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nApply DevOps practices to develop, maintain, and continuously improve test automation assets while ensuring configuration control, traceability, and repeatability. Utilize Jira and Confluence to manage requirements, tasks, test artifacts, and project documentation. \nSupport software development, testing, and integration activities within cloud development environments. \nParticipate in program Agile software development initiatives (daily standups, sprint reviews, and supporting development and functional testing) to support innovation and enhancement of custom applications through iteration/functionality testing. \nParticipate and collaborate with team members to assess tickets to ensure proper testing and delivery of functionality per Acceptance Criteria (Customer / Internal). \nCollaborate with team members (Product Owner, Software Developers, QA Team) to develop test approaches with emphasis on automation of recurring/regression testing through selected toolsets. \nAbility to create, maintain, and evaluate automated test suites to validate application functionality, improve test coverage, and support continuous integration. \nExecute and document testing activities for Jira-tracked development efforts, ensuring software changes meet requirements. \nAnalyze testing results and provide actionable feedback to development teams to drive continuous process improvement. \nBasic Qualifications\nCandidate must have an active Top Secret clearance.\nCandidate must be able to obtain a TS/SCI prior to starting.\nCandidate must be able to maintain TS/SCI and obtain a successful CI poly post hire.\nCandidate typically has BS degree preferably in Computer Science or related program and 4-8 years of related experience or MS with 2-6 years’ experience or 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree.\nExperience working/testing within Commercial Cloud Platforms (ex: AWS), OpenShift and DevOps tools.\nExperience working in a SAFe Agile and DevOps development environment and tempo.\nAbility to test both back-end and front-end applications processes.\nExperience with scripting languages (ex: Python) to automate tasks.\nExperience in establishing runs in CI Pipeline including JEST, Cypress and/or Playwright.\nKnowledge of or direct experience with software performance testing practices.\nDirect experience with creation, authoring, execution and documentation of test cases/result sets for software products in an agile cadence.\nDemonstrate ability to work within collaborative environment to execute test cases complimentary to development efforts.\nExcellent communication skills (written and verbal).\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience reviewing outputs and capable of tracking test failures back to code changes that resulted in bugs. \nCapable of reviewing code check-ins to understand the impact of code changes on system functionality and potential application bugs. \nExperience in either software development projects or software integration projects in a service-oriented environment (Cloud, SOA, Web-Services) or virtualization environment. \nAt least 1 year of experience with unit testing, continuous integration tools, and git version control \nUtilize SQL queries and database analysis techniques to validate application data, support test execution, investigate defects, and ensure data integrity across system environments. \nProactive self-starter who demonstrates a positive, willing attitude and excellent oral and written communication skills. \nOrganizational Skills: Can plan and prioritize work. Can follow tasks to their logical conclusion and makes sure that everything has been done to the right standard. Good attention to detail. \nCommunications: Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with team members and clients, verbally and in writing.
