Whiteley, Hampshire\nClearance Required: This role will require attainment and maintenance of SC clearance\nWe're looking for a collaborative and forward-thinking Test Manager to join our team and play a key role in delivering a critical IT application and infrastructure solution.\nWorking alongside customers, technical specialists, and international delivery teams, you'll lead the testing and acceptance strategy across the project lifecycle. You'll be responsible for ensuring quality outcomes, managing risks, and driving successful delivery against project milestones and customer expectations.\nThis role would suit someone who is passionate about quality assurance, enjoys solving complex challenges, and thrives in environments where collaboration and continuous improvement are valued. Whether your background is in systems integration, software delivery, or large-scale transformation programmes, we'd love to hear how your experience can help shape our success.\n\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nAs a Test Manager, you w ill:\nLead the overall test and acceptance strategy across the programme.\nManage integration, testing, and acceptance activities throughout project delivery.\nDevelop and implement scalable test approaches, including automated and manual testing solutions.\nCreate and maintain test plans, test designs, procedures, and supporting documentation.\nEnsure business and technical requirements are fully covered through effective testing.\nIdentify and manage testing risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, and opportunities.\nWork closely with customers, suppliers, and delivery teams to provide test assurance and quality oversight.\nCollaborate with Software Developers and Data Engineers to understand system functionality and improve test coverage.\nManage the defect lifecycle, including investigation, prioritisation, reporting, and trend analysis.\nProduce clear test reports and acceptance evidence.\nSupport and mentor other testers, helping to develop capability across the team.\nCommunicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nWhat We're Looking For\nWe're interested in people who can demonstrate many of the following:\nExperience leading test activities within complex technology, transformation, or systems integration programmes.\nStrong understanding of the software testing lifecycle and a range of test methodologies.\nExperience with both manual and automated testing appr\nCoaches, including functional, non-functional, integration, and acceptance testing.\nExperience testing integrated solutions involving third-party systems, applications, databases, and data platforms.\nAbility to engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to understand objectives and drive successful outcomes.\nExperience taking ownership of testing delivery and quality assurance activities.\nStrong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.\nAn analytical and proactive approach to problem solving.\nCommitment to continuous improvement and sharing knowledge with others.\nRelevant certifications, such as ISTQB, are welcomed but not essential.\nIt Would Be Great If You Also Have\nExperience working on complex integration or transformation programmes with significant data requirements.\nExperience leading, coaching, or managing small teams.\nKnowledge of Air Traffic Management (ATM) environments or related domains.\nExperience implementing modern testing practices, tools, and automation frameworks.\nFamiliarity with cloud-based or modern digital platforms.\nWhat we do for you:\nAt Leidos we are PASSIONATE about customer success, UNITED as a team and INSPIRED to make a difference.
