Primary Responsibilities

  • Record authorized receipts, issues, returns, and location movements in Costpoint or other designated systems. Validate project and funding information and escalate inconsistencies before posting.
  • Conduct wall-to-wall physical inventories and cycle counts; document actual quantities, serial numbers, and locations; and support reconciliation activities with Property Management.
  • Maintain organized storage areas with accurate bin labels and location identifiers. Ensure material movements are recorded promptly to keep physical and system records aligned.
  • Track consumable inventory levels, monitor replenishment needs, and submit restock recommendations through approved channels.
  • Prepare and validate equipment kits and shipments against approved requests and item lists, confirming quantities, serial numbers, condition, packaging, and shipment details.
  • Prepare and maintain DD1149s, packing lists, shipping records, and other supporting documentation. Route packages for required reviews and signatures and track outstanding acknowledgments.
  • Maintain accurate movement records for deployed, loaned, returned, or transferred equipment, ensuring destination, custodian, documentation, and return dates are up to date.
  • Maintain a controlled document register with links to authoritative records, identifying duplicate copies or unresolved actions as needed.
  • Provide timely status updates, identify blockers early, and complete documented handoffs for unfinished or time-sensitive work.
  • Report equipment damage, missing components, or maintenance issues to the appropriate technical or logistics personnel.
  • Follow all approved safety, security, handling, and shipping procedures. Perform any specialized COMSEC, classified-material, or hazardous-material duties only after completing required training and receiving authorization.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma 3-5 years of related experience
  • US Citizen; Currently possessing an active DoD Secret clearance with ability to upgrade to a Top Secret/SCI clearance upon hire.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and DoD material handling standards.
  • Experience entering and validating data within an enterprise inventory or warehouse-management system.
  • Ability to maintain accurate item, quantity, serial-number, location, and shipment records.
  • Experience identifying discrepancies between physical material and source documents prior to completing transactions.
  • Working proficiency with Excel (sorting, filtering, maintaining trackers), Outlook, and document-management tools.
  • Ability to follow written procedures, communicate discrepancies clearly, request clarification when needed, and provide reliable task updates.
  • Ability to safely perform essential warehouse duties, including lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds using appropriate methods and assistance, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with Deltek Costpoint inventory, receiving, or material-management functions.
  • Experience preparing and tracking DD1149s and supporting government or contractor property accountability.
  • Prior DoD contractor or military supply/warehouse experience.
