The goal of this internship is to enable modern user interfaces on constrained embedded devices by integrating Flutter with different Linux graphics stacks. You will work at the intersection of embedded systems, graphics pipelines and modern UI frameworks, where standard solutions are rarely available.\nYour main responsibilities include:\nSetting up and configuring embedded Linux environments for i.MX6 and i.MX8 platforms\nIntegrating and evaluating different graphics stacks such as Framebuffer, Xorg, Wayland or Android\nBuilding custom Debian based Linux images with Flutter runtime support\nEnabling and configuring open source GPU drivers and hardware acceleration\nInvestigating Flutter engine compatibility with embedded Linux environments\nDeploying and validating a minimal Flutter application, benchmarking performance and identifying optimization opportunities\n You are an inquisitive and technically driven student who enjoys working close to the hardware while exploring modern software frameworks. You are motivated by complex engineering challenges and are eager to deepen your knowledge of Linux internals and graphics systems.\nYou bring:\nA relevant educational background in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics\nSolid knowledge of Linux and experience working with the Linux command line\nBasic understanding of embedded systems and ARM based platforms\nFamiliarity with graphics concepts such as Framebuffer, OpenGL/EGL or GPU acceleration\nInterest in Flutter or modern UI frameworks, prior experience is considered a plus\nA structured and analytical mindset, with the ability to investigate, experiment and document findings\nThis internship offers a rare opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology where modern UI frameworks meet embedded Linux systems.
