You will be in charge of the aircraft from takeoff to landing and oversee the flight crew, making critical decisions to maintain a safe and efficient flight.\nA career with purpose.\nA career built on making dreams come true.\nA career built on building zero defect homes, cost management, and adherence to schedules.\nYour Responsibilities on the Team\nAircraft Operations:\nAssume responsibility for the safety and operation of the aircraft during all phases of flight, including takeoff, cruising, and landing.\nEnsure that the aircraft is operated in accordance with all applicable aviation laws, regulations, and company policies.\nFlight Safety:\nMonitor and assess weather conditions, flight plans, and operational risks to determine the safest course of action.\nTake corrective measures as necessary to ensure flight safety, including responding to in-flight emergencies.\nMaintain a high standard of professionalism and adherence to safety protocols at all times.\nCrew Leadership:\nLead and direct the flight crew, ensuring clear communication and coordination throughout the flight.\nProvide guidance and direction to other crew members, including co-Captains and cabin crew, to maintain smooth operations and ensure safety standards are met.\nFlight Planning:\nReview flight plans, routes, and weather information prior to departure.\nMake decisions regarding alternate flight plans in response to changing weather, air traffic control directives, or other situational factors.\nPassenger and Cargo Safety:\nEnsure the well-being of passengers and cargo by overseeing secure loading, unloading, and ensuring compliance with safety measures.\nHandle any in-flight issues involving passengers, ensuring a professional and safe resolution.\nPost-Flight:\nComplete necessary post-flight documentation, including logs, reports, and evaluations of flight performance.\nCommunicate with ground operations and management regarding any issues or concerns that arose during the flight.\nYour Toolbox\nLicensing & Certifications:\nMust hold a valid FAA Airline Transport Captain (ATP) Certificate (or equivalent in other jurisdictions).\nValid First-Class Medical Certificate.\nExperience:\nA minimum of 12 years of flight experience as a Captain, with a significant portion of that experience in multi-engine land aircraft.\nExperience in conducting international and cross-country flights is highly preferred.\nSkills & Competencies:\nStrong decision-making ability, especially in high-pressure situations.\nIn-depth knowledge of aviation regulations, flight procedures, and safety protocols.\nExcellent communication and leadership skills.\nAbility to remain calm and composed during emergencies and adverse conditions.\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills.\nAdditional Requirements:\nMust pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.\nAbility to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays, and be available for on-call duties as needed.\nWillingness to travel frequently and work in varying environmental conditions.\nPhysical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:\nFlights may involve overnight stays, international travel, and varying weather conditions.
